Unfortunately, the world is different now. People no longer buy games just for the gameplay. They expect a quality story along with all the nonsensical gameplay. Lord knows quality gameplay isn't enough to keep peoples attention on a game anymore.

This statement makes my blood boil. Kingdom Hearts II gives you fantastic gameplay and a so-so story yet, you won't put up with it. If you are in need of a good story, go read a book or watch a movie. This is not to shit on games as a form of storytelling. This is me telling you that you need to lower your expectations for certain games and enjoy what the game offers. No one goes to see The Expendables because they want a deep, compelling story with well developed characters. They go because they want to see explosions, action and scantily clad women.

2. I never dissed KH2's "gameplay"
3. I said I was willing to put up with shitty gameplay if the story was fantastic. I fail to see the correlation between the act of fiddling with terrible gameplay for a story one enjoys. It's like you read the exact opposite of what I said.
