There is no cow level

Did it once, got achievement. See no reason to go back there. Cow level in D2 was the best leveling and MF'ing place till the nerf. Even after it was the best place for runes because of the incredibly high drop rate of items, magical or not.

I rather go MF inferno skeleton king then waste time in that level again.

I have the Nightmate staff. I only went in once with some friends to check it out.

With the Nephelem Valor buff, I may upgrade to the Hell staff if act 1 Inferno is too hard to farm.

Wait whichever difficulty you make the staff in you can only use it in that difficulty? If so, that doesn't seem to make much sense to me.

You make a normal staff, then you upgrade it to nightmare, then you upgrade it to hell, then I guess inferno.

Staff is backwards compatible but there is pretty much divide by zero reasons to do a lesser difficulty except to show it to people. The only two worth doing are Hell and Inferno.

So far I think that hell whimsyshire is probably worth the money. Since upgrading my NM staff 2 days ago I have made well over 800k just from gold/items from hell whimsy runs. Also, yesterday me and my friends even scored 2 legendaries in back-to-back runs there, so it's easy enough to make back the 500k price tag. I highly doubt I can tank inferno whimsy mobs on my monk though, so it looks like inferno runs are out of the question for me atm.

Do you bother with magic find gear for this? Actually, does anyone bother with magic find gear atm? I remember there being 2 tabs for equipment so you can swap between 2 sets in D2... but they aren't in D3, it's a bit tedious when I have to swap to magic find before I can kill the things.

EDIT: I have +108% and 51% equip on follower (so 10% added from follower)

I have a set of MF gear that gets me over 180% with 5 valor stacks that I throw on for boss deaths and yellow chests only usually. It's too much of a pain in the butt to equip it for champion mob kills, not to mention it gimps my stats like no other since I only keep the gear for the MF%, not the other stats. Usually what I do is go through the entirety of the whimsy level with my normal gear and 5 valor stacks, then I get my MF gear when I find the pinata, since it sort of functions as a yellow chest.

I picked up the hell staff today, so if any BGers want me to take them to the portal send me a friend request and mention that you're from BG so I don't charge you for it.

I did a quick run earlier in +gold gear and made 30k just from gold drops.
