I think the sports thing could be cool if it's free -- IE not needing a sports package to have NBA TV or NFL Network. If it's subscription based, then meh..

I was just thinking that. Also have to realize a lot of this stuff is probably REALLY intended for Windows 8 and their push towards mobile and tablets.

That doesn't excuse it however, this is still a gaming industry tradeshow.

NHL/NBA/MLB/NFL content will not be free. If Microsoft is nice, they've worked out a deal to see all 4 in a select capacity for higher end Live memberships. Maybe a discounted rate for each individual service. But it's likely youll just need say a NHL Center Ice subscription package and you just get to access it on the console.
