WTB extremely cheap/used PC

My old laptop (only PC) is finally dying (graphics dead, now it's starting to freeze), and I need a replacement computer. I'm not much of a PC gamer, anything that can run TF2/L4D/etc well is good enough.

I have very little money and zero income at the moment, so the cheaper the better. I have some shitty monitors/keyboards lying around that I can use for now, so just getting a tower(or another laptop I guess) is the priority.

Is it only your video card going wrong, or entire computer?

If its only a video card, I have a 8400 PCI-E card you can probably just have if you pay shipping.

Honestly I'm not sure, I made a thread about it here. This laptop has had heavy use for close to 5 years thou, plus me spilling water in it twice. Runs very hot, hdd is pretty slow compared to what it used to be, and it has a random hiccuping issue (but that may be the graphics card, I don't know). So even if replacing the card fixes it, I can't imagine it's going to last much longer anyway.

The PCI-E slots I have are mini(?) so I'm not sure if I could use that anyway.

I'm in the process of buying a desktop locally that (I think) is a good deal; 2.6 ghz amd 64 x2, 3gb ram, 500gb SATA hdd, 8800gt gfx card, for $120. Opinions? Thanks for all the offers either way thou, I'll update if it falls through.

@xerodok, how much would you want for that anyway? Just curious.

EDIT: Does anyone know if an 8800gt would run mass effect 2/3, batman arkham city, or guild wars 2 reasonably well? Those are the only recent games I can think of that I'd have much interest in playing.

I would recommend at least 1GB of VRAM for those games, Even my old GTX 580 Matrix struggled with Arkham City.

amd x2 2.6ghz sucks horribly, even if its the black edition. I'd rather go with a low clock Core2duo over that lol
