Index Corp is much, much bigger than the Atlus brand. I don't imagine there's any recent detailed info on the company's performance that's actually published in English, but given the size of the company, it wouldn't be that outlandish to assume that Atlus itself could be doing great, while the rest of (or some significant portion of) their holdings are losing money.

Also, that main theme is pretty awesome. Anyone know when the full OST is going to be released?

Probably a couple months after the game. And yeah I know Index is more than just Atlus but shit, the Atlus part has to be making money hand over fist.

8 hours into the game using physical build with mainly STR before i read up on the japanese wiki that TEC is a higher modifier than STR for physical skill...

Launch DLC Details

Three custom looks will be available for the protagonist to alter his look by changing hairstyles. These DLC items will be permanently free for anyone to download.
In addition to fighting in style, there will be a beneficial armor item free for the first month. The Platinum Surcoat Set offers a little bonus to stats in the early stages of the game, and will help players new to the franchise keep the upper hand. The armor will be available for free for the first month after SMT IV’s launch on July 16. After the first month, the price of the armor set will revert to $1 permanently.
There will also be a map pack available at launch to help players gain more experience. Suitable for the early stages of the game, the new maps will help players gain extra experience to boost their characters with enemies and a collectible demon exclusive to the DLC. The map pack will be $2 at launch.

Meh. Not sure how I feel about that shit. Going to sound snooty but why make it easier if you want a real SMT experience? To each his own and I can understand broadening your base, but making it easy mode for noobs is lame.

yeah, but the game is still inherently easier due to being able to save anywhere. also, MC death no longer means an instant game over, sadly. as much as i griped about it playing through nocturne, it just doesn't seem right leaving out the really cheap shit, haha.

it sounds like you just gotta put in some effort to really make it a true SMT experience. hard mode, no DLC, we in there.

Changes the dynamics a little I guess since you won't be wasting attack rounds just trying to keep MC alive. Regardless, it'll just mean I won't be so cautious when venturing far from a save point since I won't lose 30min or farming from a bullshit death.

But thats part of the experience! See how you IMMEDIATELY thought of that? Why mess with something that is so deeply embedded?

Now you can throw caution to the wind and go all emulator mode and save it every 2 steps if you choose, which is weak as hell. Takes a lot of the careless and wreckless chances out of it imo.
