It's for the people that wouldn't survive an hour in a game like Nocturne or older games in the series if their life depended on it. Normally they wouldn't touch a game like SMT IV with a 20 ft pole, if they hadn't made changes to it to make it similar to Persona to appeal to them.

I just hope it will have something in there for the people that played the older entries.

bought the 3ds in anticipation of this game a couple months ago, definitely do not regret that decision one bit. after a couple of hours, i'm very much digging this. despite the more forgiving conditions for a game over, one bad turn can still ruin your day. i'm not the type to save obsessively either, so i've definitely lost some progress (and while you can pay charon to just revive you, it's pricey and feels lame as hell besides, so i've been electing to skip that option). all told, it's still probably going to be a bit easier than nocturne, but i'm very happy with the game and level of challenge thus far.

That is pretty fucking inexcusable. I am sure mine will be fucked too then, if it ever shows up. Shows it hit UPS last night here, but unlike normal it hasn't shown as 'Out for Delivery' today. So effed that they are shipping them in envelopes.

In other news, the game is great. If you equip some of the preorder armor right away, though, you're going to have a very bad time.

Expecting my copy in a couple days, because Amazon.ca can't into pre-shipping a pre-order so it's more local when it comes to the release date. Can't wait to wear my retarded Amazon box-suit in the game.

This is why I am getting it in store, that is inexcusable. On another horrible note, it won't be until this weekend. Luckily the person at the gamestop told me he would hold my pre-order copy for me until Saturday when I get paid. They are thankfully, not smashed.
