Even though it's Ubisoft, I'll wait until $5-$10 for pc. If it flops on release, it won't be long I'd imagine.

This is sad. An AAA developer makes a game about a serious real life issue in society and it's gonna flop.

According to a report on NeoGAF, there will be 39 main mission and more than 100 side mission.
Here is the full list:
Spoiler: show
39main missions is quite a bit.
It really depends. Some missions could be as long as 5 minutes long so it really might not be as much as it seems.
Even if the first few missions are only 5-10min (like GTA), on average we can always expect missions to last 30ish (if GTA is a benchmark). That's more then enough content, especially with so many side quests and online play.
To add, the gameplay didn't look terrible. There is car damage, the cop cars got damages and smoked, but I suspect that it was turned off for the player in favor of a smooth play through of the demo.
The different game modes are interesting, but they really hyped the game up a lot since it's unveiling and I'm worried it won't deliver.
Well it won't deliver if you've set your expectations based on any of the coverage. If what you want is a sandbox game set in present-day/near-future urban areas made by Ubisoft then it's easier to set your expectations to a more realistic height. But once you've done this your desire to preorder or buy day 1 may be gone, so eh...
i think it will do ok because of the drought it's being released in, I'm still considering picking it up just to have something new to play on my xbone, and I'm sure there are others thinking the same way
One Ubisoft game that actually has me hyped is Child of Light. Funny how a lot people that identify as gamers I've seen have never even heard about it. Looks to be the sleeper hit of 2014.
I don't even see a thread for the game, so I'm gonna blame you for that one sir.
It'll be a critical success because there aren't very many AAA games left to cover and journos need that sweet sweet access more than ever.
It'll be a commercial success because it'll be a critical success.
Watch Dogs will be fine.
there's rumors of a new Prince of Persia in the works for UbiArt Framework or whatever the name of that engine is, which could be pretty good
There's definitely one here, it's where I first learned about it :D

Ooooh nice. I can't wait to see what they come up with using this engine.
