Even though it's Ubisoft, I'll wait until $5-$10 for pc. If it flops on release, it won't be long I'd imagine.

This is sad. An AAA developer makes a game about a serious real life issue in society and it's gonna flop.

Seems that way, but it's hard to tell for sure, since it's the length of the mission that matters. If one mission is: "Go to store," the next mission might be "Buy tampons," and the next mission might be "Buy milk," and so forth.

1/4 of them will be 'tail a target, don't get noticed' missions.

It really depends. Some missions could be as long as 5 minutes long so it really might not be as much as it seems.

Even if the first few missions are only 5-10min (like GTA), on average we can always expect missions to last 30ish (if GTA is a benchmark). That's more then enough content, especially with so many side quests and online play.

To add, the gameplay didn't look terrible. There is car damage, the cop cars got damages and smoked, but I suspect that it was turned off for the player in favor of a smooth play through of the demo.

The different game modes are interesting, but they really hyped the game up a lot since it's unveiling and I'm worried it won't deliver.

Well it won't deliver if you've set your expectations based on any of the coverage. If what you want is a sandbox game set in present-day/near-future urban areas made by Ubisoft then it's easier to set your expectations to a more realistic height. But once you've done this your desire to preorder or buy day 1 may be gone, so eh...

i think it will do ok because of the drought it's being released in, I'm still considering picking it up just to have something new to play on my xbone, and I'm sure there are others thinking the same way

One Ubisoft game that actually has me hyped is Child of Light. Funny how a lot people that identify as gamers I've seen have never even heard about it. Looks to be the sleeper hit of 2014.

It'll be a critical success because there aren't very many AAA games left to cover and journos need that sweet sweet access more than ever.
It'll be a commercial success because it'll be a critical success.

    Watch Dogs will be fine.

With the PlayStation 4 firmware update 1.7 just around the corner, Sony is announcing that those who’ve pre-ordered Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs will be able to pre-download it before the game launches on May 27.

    @PSN_Updates
You can now Pre Order @WatchDogsGame from the PSN (PS4) Store. You will be able to pre load the game once the 1.70 firmware update is live !
In addition, while viewing the “What’s New” section on the PlayStation 3, it appears that both the PS3 and PS4 will be receiving a Gold Edition of the game. Not to be confused with the Digital Deluxe Edition, the Gold Edition will feature everything the Deluxe has plus the recently announced Season Pass, which is loaded with content:

All-New Single-Player Story – Take on the role of T-Bone, a brilliant but eccentric hacker who lives by his own rules.
Conspiracy! – A new Digital Trip game mode that lets players hunt down cyborgs in this mind-bending alternate game universe.
Exclusive Untouchables Pack – Pay homage to the classic Chicago mobster film with a M1 SMG weapon and a 1920s mobster outfit. In North America, the Untouchables Pack will only be available through Season Pass.
More single player missions, weapons, and outfits
Save more than 25% over the individual downloadable pack prices.
Season Pass holders get one-week early access to all included Watch Dogs add-on content.

The asking price for The Gold Edition is likely going to be $79.99, $10 more than the Deluxe Edition.

Check out the new Season Pass trailer below:
