This game on PC is buggy as fuck. Not surprised, but holy shit. The game gets almost unplayable when you get into a car. It's awful.

Try updating drivers? I crashed a few times but my drivers were months old. I updated and I'm great...on low =(. Stable, but alas a poor PC gamer.
From Youtube link.
Better controls = noWOW .. the OP at neogaf should learn to fucking pay attention .. this isn't a gfx comparison.
The missing reflections/fake are kinda missed up (the bean has no reflections at all .. LOL) Other than that .. I don't see a big deal .. so cars are more arcady and get less damage .. so what? By that logic WD has a shit load of stuff that GTA IV and GTA V don't
1. Dynamic weather
2. NPC's with backgrounds,
3. Much better and more interesting side quests
4. Better shooting mechanics
5. FAR superior textures/gfx
6. Better and more realistic lighting (some idiots think it's too bland .. maybe look out your window lol)
7 far better controls/shooting etc.
8. dashboard view for cars etc
Better textures = nope
NPC backgrounds = 3 -5 lines of randomized text shit, pretty sure GTA npcs would talk about shit going on at random too
Side quests = assault gang base, assault convoy, assault guy
I will say the game is fun, but GTA is far better imo. I love the hacking shit, and I love blocking off a convoy and setting up ambush spots. At least the chases dont feel scripted like GTA, I fucking hated having to follow someone for X amount of time before you could kill them/run them off the road or w/e.
Update to newest drivers if you're on AMD, I did and it's much more manageable for me now, though there are times when it just goes wonky during an intense car chase, like when the entire police precinct comes after you. This game on PC is buggy as fuck. Not surprised, but holy shit. The game gets almost unplayable when you get into a car. It's awful.
Anyone done the mission where you run out of the police station and all hell breaks loose? Found it fucking annoying trying to escape and bullshitted my way by hacking the helicopter (glad I got that fucking talent) 2 times and running on foot in a large home with fenced in yards.
Yeah, updated to the ones Nvidia released today. I don't want to imagine the game before that. A ton of people are reporting the same issue. My PC can handle almost anything I throw at it. Few games lately giving me a hard time though. Wolfenstein with shadow resolution makes the game completely unplayable, and now this. I turned it down to medium, but it's still lagging like fuck. It's definitely an issue that needs to be addressed.
I don't know what the hate for controls are, using a gamepad and they're great. I daresay I drive better in this game then any GTA or open world game, ever. Combat controls I'm still getting used to, since surprisingly I don't get into many open fights unless it's a convoy mission or something.
Psn maint can't download the game ...
Windowed mode increases the frame rate.

lol, it's a good thing they took those extra months to polish the game.
The 8s are interesting. It's the absolute bare minimum any review site with something to lose (i.e. access to review copies) dares give a new AAA IP from Ubisoft. For every positive, a negative, for every win, a loss. If this came out at PS4 launch it would have been savage. LOL@ Joystiq's 10/10. The fuck.
Oh my Gerstmann goes in
82% MC on the PS4 version. 77% on XBox One. Yikes.Given that we live in an era where people are out there paying way-too-much money for Google Glass and anticipating other head-mounted setups, going phone-only (and all the hilarious animations that come along with a man holding a pistol in one hand and a phone in the other) seems out of touch for a game that's trying to represent the dark future of technology. That dark future is already here, and Watch Dogs gets that wrong.
So when it comes down to it do you guys think the game is fun? Graphics are nice but when it comes down to it I just want a game that I'll enjoy playing. The reviews make it seem like that may be the case but the previous poster made a good point that maybe they are just giving the bare minimum score they are allowed to give so they don't lose rights to anything in the future.
Even though it's only in the low 80%s for ps4 it's also not really varied like most games that get numbers like that. As in everyone seems to give it close to the same score and it's not vary polarized.
Wtf, who wrote this lol.
It's fun for me in doses, gets very boring quickly in certain parts so I usually only do 1-2 story missions + 1-2 side missions and then stop for a bit. Driving missions in any aspect make me want to punch my monitor but i'm using keyboard/mouse and on PC. Is it worth $60? Eh I can't comment on it yet, as I don't know how long the story is, which is always my deciding factor on purchasing a game or not.So when it comes down to it do you guys think the game is fun?
looked at GS site and confirmed the pic I posted earlier
so if you're so inclined to beat it in a month (and go to gamestop) it's effectively 20 bucks.Get More for Watch Dogs
Valid 5/27/14 - 6/26/14
Guaranteed $40 In-Store Credit when you Trade Watch Dogs on Xbox One or PS4.
Hmm well I have a ton of target credit after last weeks triple trade in value extravaganza, and that coupled with the 40$ trade in at game stop means sure I'll bite.
Thanks for the advise guys.
If you buy from Target, make sure you use the Cartwheel app! You get 10% off from it.
Excited to pick it up after work and I'm really easy to please game wise. As long as actual gameplay isn't atrocious, I'll have a good time
Oh thanks a ton for that. I didn't even know about cartwheel.
Game is fun, but 60 dollars fun idk. Certain things get repetitive, but the same can be said of any open world where you're grinding types of missions for achievements and rewards. There is plenty of things for you to do, but the types of gameplay arent varied; assault a caravan, wait for and stop a criminal, deliver a car, and a couple more that you rinse and repeat. There are online features that I can't use so I can't comment, but idk how is like those any ways; I hated getting randomly invaded in dark souls 2 and I'd probably hate it here too.
The acting is top notch though, and even on mostly low settings the game is nice. If you play on PC you must use a gamepad though, otherwise you'll bitch like above lol.
Meresgi, you have a computer capable of running this game but have no way of connecting any gamepad to your computer? That's all on you dude, don't blame the game because you can't drive in a keyboard, no game can do that well -_-.
