Wish multiplayer was working more. I was able to hack 1 guy which was fun but most of the times I try to get a multiplayer session it just doesn't find anyone.

Probably a dumb question, but how do I obtain the spec ops 1911?
Can't find any info on it
Australian PR stunt ends with the bomb squad being called
Spoiler: showhttp://mumbrella.com.au/australia-sq...ninemsn-229352A PR stunt for a new video game saw the bomb squad called to NineMSN’s offices yesterday afternoon after a black safe was delivered to the Australia Square offices of the publisher along with a “suspicious” letter which told a reporter to “check your voicemail”.
However, the reporter did not have a voicemail, and when staff tried to enter a pin code taped to the top of the safe, which was dropped off by a courier but not signed for, it started to beep but did not open, leading to fears it could be an explosive device.
Mi9 staff on the sixth floor of the George Street offices were sent home, and bomb squad officers called in to open the box in the basement of the building. Inside was a copy of new Ubisoft video game Watch Dogs alongside a baseball cap and beanie, and a note saying it was embargoed until 5pm.
NineMSN editor Hal Crawford told Mumbrella: “This is definitely the other side of the line in terms of what it’s safe for a PR company to send anonymously to a newsroom. The thing was black, heavy and slightly creepy.”
“We did check with other newsrooms to see if they had received a similar package as we thought it was a PR stunt, but no-one else had. We weren’t panicked at any point, but given there was no note explaining what it was, we had to take sensible precautions.”
Ubisoft has not responded to Mumbrella’s repeated requests for comment today, and it is unclear whether the package was sent by the internal PR team, or an agency acting on their behalf.
So far the game is fun. The driving isn't great but it isn't horrible either...I do fine the bikes really good though. Some of the physics seems a bit odd though but it seems to be more whimsical then game breaking. Bumping into some stuff sends whatever you hit flying sometimes.
The hacking aspect is simple to use which is nice, especially when you are trying to get away from the cops. On the subject of the cops it is nice that they aren't as inept at car chases as some other open world games.
Maybe I need more talents or something but I got hacked and a dude hits me with his car, then it says I need to kill him. We just drove around for a while before time expired, him raising blocks, me putting it back down. Not sure what course of action could have won this. Pretty sure I got XP so was his goal to kill me too and not to run away?
I got frustrated with this, too. The first time trying to run out of the stadium from the cops took several times to figure out, and it just felt like I got lucky once it finally happened. This was before I could raise barriers or anything like that, making it that much more frustrating. I tried to escape on foot on the L-train and I couldn't seem to get away that way, almost like it wasn't going to register my escape unless I did it in a car, which was annoying because Jordi (the well-dressed Asian friend) told me he didn't care if I took the car or not.
Once I finally finished the mission, I did have a lot of fun on free roam. The interface is a little overwhelming at first, mostly because there are so many options, and everything seems to have some skillup based functionality to it. As I play it a little more, it got a little more comfortable, and things made more sense. Took down some towers, hacked some people, prevented some crimes. I actually found myself considering whether to Hack someone for ATM cash or not based on how much money they made, which seems silly considering it's an artificial game, but I found myself thinking about it. One of the things I did was buy a new outfit, the default is pretty hideous, but they all seem to have that silly band-aid looking strap across the middle.
The online presence is also a little confusing to me, as well. You can check in on places to be the "Mayor" of certain areas, but I haven't quite figured out how that works yet. Will explore more later.
And if you haven't tried Spider-Tank yet, go do it. It's stupid amounts of fun.
if you get invaded, the invader is supposed to hide and try to hack you, it will give a circle to search in. the circle gets smaller at 25, 50, and 75 percent hacked. if you use your profiler and identify the guy hacking you you have to kill them before they escape. if they escape you get a tiny bit of notoriety from detecting them, if you kill them you get a lot more. this guy I guess just didn't know/care how to play and just tried to run you down I guess?

Those who are playing Watch Dogs early should be aware of this game breaking bug, which happens randomly but when it does, you lose all your in-game progress including skills, weapons, outfits and more. This bug was originally reported on the official Watch Dogs support forums, and so far, we have got confirmation of the bug appearing for users on the PC and Xbox One. It seems to be rather random but when it happens, you can’t do anything to recover your progress, since even loading old saves won’t solve this issue. The user who reported this issue had the following to say regarding its occurrence.
"Got discovered and killed while tailing someone, respawned in free roam, all my weapons were gone, outfit was default, and all my skills (crafting and such that I had unlocked to date) were still unlocked in the skill tree, but I could not use them."
Ubisoft did contact that user and asked him for details. He was apparently playing the Xbox One version but we can’t really isolate this bug to a single platform as it happened on other platforms as well.
Another user confirmed that he got the same game breaking bug, but he was playing it on PC and it happened in multiplayer.
after i got defeaded in an oberservation match (i was the attacker and got knocked of meele style) cant play multiplayer anymore, cant use “old” guns mainly i miss the silenced one, all small hideouts are gone, my character is smashing car windows again but no alarm goes off, cant open gates anymore.
Hopefully Ubisoft can fix this issue in the game before its official release. Even if the users that are affected by this bug are minor, this can be a potentially big issue as more players get their hands on the final version of the game. We can expect a patch to fix this issue soon, so we won’t have to completely start our game again.
OK, then he fled the hack zone I guess and lost.
I want to play around with this more, it had some thrill when I hacked a dude and drove normally, then parked. Think he messed up by raising a barrier then shooting in the sky. I watched the other cars and noticed they didn't start fleeing so I stayed put. They didn't have anywhere to flee. Watched him run from car to car in his little traffic jam ( I was actually on the other side of the barrier parked) He got kinda close a couple times and got that adrenaline pump a little bit before he walked off. Stay cool out there

Sure, it’s easy enough for us to call our game highly anticipated. After all, we saw the copious comments from the community and amongst the media – all that lovely chatter about how everyone can’t wait to get their paws on Watch Dogs. And, after a modest delay, we couldn’t wait to deliver Ubisoft Montreal’s innovative take on the open-world adventure. The good news: You really meant it. In its first 24 hours of availability, Watch Dogs sold more copies than any previous title in Ubisoft’s history!
i wish it was a slightly less derivative new IP, but still, glad it didn't flop
I'm all for new IPs, even if i'm not super on board for this one. Always happy to see them succeed.
Now we wait for Watchdogs 2 and 3, and then Watchdogs in Italy, then as an astronaut roaming the high seas of space!
I would hope by the time of a few sequels we're just rocking Google Glasses instead of trotting around with an iPhone.
harder to make that dramatic though
Maybe you could push some button on the side of glasses and blast the Earth like a high tech Cyclops.
