I cannot fucking stand Ellen Page, but I want this game so bad it hurts. Guess I'll have to get past it. Quantic Dream games always entertain the hell out of me.
Never played Heavy Rain but it seemed mad cinematic just like this game. Is it more movie then game? Whats the deal here hows gameplay?
I'd like to consider it interactive fiction. Gameplay usually revolves around walking with your analog stick, and if there are people or objects to interact with, there'll be context sensitive buttons hovering over them. Any action scenes are typically QTE based, but in Heavy Rain's case it wasn't a loss if you fuck up, rather it'll just affect how the rest of the scene might play out if you fuck up too badly, which then may or may not affect later portions of the story.
At any rate, god damn those are some detailed facial textures.
i wanna know who still says ps3 games look worse then xbox games, seriously that shit looks amazing still and we are still limited compared to PC.
i remember reading an article where Quantum said that the ps3 hasn't been used to 100% capability yet, so i'm wondering if this game will push it past what we have seen, graphics wise and size wise, either way this game looks amazing and i need it now
Gonna be a great movie
People usually say that in the context of multiplatform games, where majority of the time PS3 is usually lacking some form of anti-aliasing, or has a worse frame-rate. Usually caused by the 360 being the lead platform for most projects, and then ported to PS3.
My interest in this game is severely damped by my hate for Ellen Page.
Shut up and take my money.
Why all the hate for Ellen Page? Juno that annoying?
I think she's super cute in the shut the fuck up and don't talk kind of way.
Between being amazed at what I'm seeing in the concept of having an actual actor in the starring role of a video game and her face looking kinda fucked up.
Like Kaisha said the gameplay is more about interacting and reacting to the stuff that comes at you. Your actions have consequences and each action can have a different outcome for the character you are currently playing. It's a very different game than anything I've seen. I loved it, imo one of the best titles on PS3 and recent memory. You can probably get it for 20 bucks now.
Cant wait for Beyond, I was super excited after seeing this.
I'm hooked. Really like what they showed.
Compression artifacts & Not focused + Youtube quality deterioration, and shit almost looks like an FMV.
Quite impressive I must say.

http://gematsu.com/2012/11/beyond-tw...off-from-alphaQuantic Dream boss David Cage has said an alpha version of his studio’s E3-revealed Beyond: Two Souls is just “a few weeks off” in an update on the PlayStation Blog today.
“It’s always a very critical moment in the development of a game since it’s the first time all the game data is assembled in a complete version,” said Cage. “This first version is often not very playable, but it’s the first time you can see the ‘complete’ game as a whole. After that we’ll move onto the beta version, which is when the game really starts to look like the final version.”
According to Cage, Beyond is a mix of action, emotion, character depth, strong moments, and compared to its previous Heavy Rain, “a more epic, dramatic dimension.”
“All this will be part of a story with a logical narrative following the philosophy that each scene must be unique and different. Take the forest scene for example. This is the only scene like this in the game. We will have more epic scenes and other action scenes, but they will be radically different and have nothing to do with each other in terms of environment and the type of action involved.”
The difference in interface compared to Heavy Rain is “very different.” Players control two characters, Jodie and the entity Aiden. Using Aiden, Jodie can “fly, walk through walls, and interact with matter or characters in a rather peculiar way.”
