A release date for Beyond: Two Souls, Quantic Dream’s latest PlayStation 3 project, will be announced soon, studio boss David Cage has said.

“Beyond is almost in beta. It will come out this year and the release date will be announced soon,” Cage told IGN at DICE Summit.

I don't know what part it was exactly but after that 35 minute preview I decided I must buy this game. I think it's mostly the idea and how they are portraying it that really has me. Why am I so easy and a sucker? Bah! Just take my money!

I enjoyed Heavy Rain for what it was (plotholes and plodding pacing/walking controls aside), and this just looks to be a better version of it. As long as the story is more coherent this time I'll be enjoying it.

[EDIT] Pre-order bonus includes steelbook case and a 30min DLC chapter. I'm a sucker for steelbook cases, so......

Previews for this game look amazing. Honestly they wouldn't have to show me previews. This is a day one buy for me based solely off the fact that they made Heavy Rain before.

Spike TV had gameplay and interviews on this game... It was revealed to be a military shooter. Did not see this coming at all...

Straight up third person shooter with what's basically a ghost attachment possessing people and what not.

There seems to be a lot of varied gameplay, but during a scene that was reportedly from the last 1/3rd of the game it was still (or going back to) the 3rd person shooter gameplay. Definitely confused, not sure how I feel about this...

I really hate their marketing team now.
