    All drakes function the same, no aggro to walking. All the ones in La Noscea, Thanalan, Black Shroud. If you ever aggro a drake while walking, then it is no fault of your own but just you getting screwed by shitty aggro detection/server lag. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has died or been with someone that has died to the Treants in the Moogle area while walking, meanwhile your pt members walk on by and not aggro.

    While testing something at one of the nodes by Blue Fog, I died to a drake while walking past it, even though it never aggroed me the 2 hours prior. Then I'd die as soon as I'd spawn (my HP was the same node) while not moving, and it'd repeat until the Drake would work properly and not aggro at all. It's rare and it's unfortunate when it does happen but fuck it's rage inducing to know you're getting screwed while doing everything right.

    Lokus is correct. Drakes will never aggro you while walking unless you get that stupid server lag or whatever it is that screws me at moogles.

    Guildleves will remain in the version 2.0 relaunch, since the team felt there is definitely a place for daily, repeatable content in an MMO. They actually feel this was one of the better points of the original release. The problem was that the Guildleve system wasn’t very intuitive and put a high load on the server. Players often couldn’t figure out where they needed to go or what to do once they completed a Guildleve. On the backend, Guildleves will now put less load on servers, which allows the team to create not only more Guildleves, but also add variety to the ones available. Guildleves will also be more intuitive. You’ll know where you need to go and what you need to do, and once you’re done you’ll be warped back to where you need to turn in and get your reward. Simple!
    Behests are being overhauled as well. The current Behest system tasks players with defending camps from encroaching monsters. The new system, which wasn’t described in detail, will only be identical in name. The gameplay will be completely different, though it is intended to be casual group content.

    If that was phasing, that was the shittiest phasing system I can remember.

    Now that I think back, it -was- phasing. people did vanish when you got started. Huh. Memories.

    Something like instancing w/o instancing. That is you wouldn't see other peoples' Leve mobs until they actually stated fighting them.
    WoW has quite an elaborate phasing system afair, your surroundings would change only for you depending on where you were on a quest and stuff.

    I'm not going to go into the details of phasing, but lets just say that its awesome when done properly, and XIV did not do it properly.

    regarding the aggro drakes.
    My weakly empirically based observation is that the walking = no aggro system is bugged. every now and then, a sound-aggro mob will aggro anyway, used to see it every now and then in the moogle area, not just with others, with myself too. just moving along in walk-mode, suddenly a tree will take a swipe at you, all alone, not making a sound, no spindiggers etc. in sight. I always assumed it was server hiccups. But damned if I know.

    You know, I encountered the same thing happening in XI as well, even when sneaked and invised. Then I took a look at the descriptions of both sneak and invis which led me to believe that neither can prevent aggro 100%. Sure maybe something like 99%, but never 100%. Could be the same mechanic at work here.

    Or it could just be shitty terrain in XIV that makes the server think you're running instead of walking when goin up/down.
