^ You have to expect that with a Disney movie. They're always going to make a movie about whatever goody message they want to send across, and to that end, will wrap the characters around it. Having understood that since I was old enough to watch a Disney movie, I'm going to take the movie for what it is - a Disney movie! - and am sure to love it. This'll probably be the first movie I've watched in theaters in years...

I could have bought an 11 pull and have 1000 gems left over, but all I got was this silly title.

I think this was the first movie I saw and regretted I didn't see it in 3D, mostly because of Paperman short. It was a lot of fun and original. Sure it sucked watching it in a theater full of kids but whatever, cheap seats for me!

Just saw this with my daughter, and we loved it. Suger rush needs to be a real game or cartoon.

There is an epidemic of thirty-something males with father-daughter wish fulfillment fantasies that I honestly could not care less about. To that end, I feel that the movie was falsely marketed, since I thought it was going to be more about "bad guy" redemption. There was just way too much time spent in the latter half of the movie that could have just been hacked off into a Disney movie of it's own; the video game aspect of it is nothing more than a cute wrapper for it all.

This is not to say it's a bad movie. The video game aspect of it is never cheaply thrown about or disrespected, and if you enjoy Disney movies, then is one of Disney's best in an extremely long time. But considering this is the company that was able to put together "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?", I am going to be pretty unforgiving with how lopsided the movie is.
Something something Disney movie something something Star Wars VII something something I has a sad.

It was AMAZINGLY good. I did not expect the story to be so tight and the characters to be so good (I expected a lot more annoying than was actually present). The writing was perhaps the best part. It was very sharp and I can't think of one joke that really fell flat for me or made me cringe in that way that makes me realize it was directed solely at kids. The characters were written very true to the games they come from, so much so that it was at once very immersive yet noticeable (in a good way) to a video game fan.

I highly reccommend seeing this movie if you like video games at all. Hell, even if you don't you'll probably enjoy it. It presents a really moving dilemma to the hero halfway through and I was very satisfied with the ending and all the plot points. My favorite character was definitely the hardcore FPS military chick.

A fun bonus for me was the theme song to the game Sugar Rush being done by my current favorite Jpop group, AKB48, which is also played in full during the end credits (my sigtar are related to the group).

There is a little bit of something cute past the credits.

A couple easter eggs to watch for that I noticed:
    Spoiler: show

-On the way into the train station near the beginning of the movie, AERITH DIES is scrawled in blood on the wall like graffitti.
-Around the middle of the movie, in a bathroom (?) full of graffitti LEROY is scrawled, among other videogame lingo like PWNED.
I have to agree with most of this, including Silverman's chatacter being not nearly as annoying as I'd have feared. She's actually likeable. In addition, my mind was also a little blown when I heard the Japanese lyrics to Sugar Rush and wanted to audibly applaud the producer for including that nice little touch. It's sad that some people around me seemed bothered by hearing something not in English.

It looked more like Aeris Lives

In addition, and not that I have any problem with it whatsoever, but there were two or three times the little kids sitting behind me sounded like they were about to have a small meltdown. The most obvious of them was when Ralph obliterates Vanellope's kart and she was screaming for him to stop, the kids behind me almot lost it. For a young child, thats probably a tough scene to watch.

Movie was very good. It's kid friendly without being too childish for adults. The wife and I both loved it.

To me it kinda looks like both. Like the Original message, yours, is there, but someone scrawled the other one on top of it. Trying to be as nonspecific as possible :D

As yet another tribute to arcades, the post-credit disney logo becomes a typical Donkey Kong / Pac-Man style kill screen. Is it just me, or does anyone else here forget to check if theres a post credit scene for a movie and then guilts themselves into staying? I do it every single time.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Good movie. Better than Brave. Worse than Tangled.
About half of the film's references felt like bought and paid for product placement (Kids drinking out of Subway cups, Oreo guards, etc), which bugged me more often than it charmed me.
I hated the designs on the Sugar Rush racers, including Vanellope. Looked like bad saturday morning cartoon CGI rather than something from the studio that made Tangled.

Really? I thought the racers looked cute and perfectly marketable, just what you'd expect from a game like that. They were great, and their over the top stupidly cute names were funny too. Reminded me of Strawberry Shortcake a little.

I didn't notice much product placement, but me and bf got a good laugh out of the oreo guards. They were funny as hell.

This movie will hit you right in the nostalgia. And the box office line/theater was PACKED.

Also, Paperman needs to get some attention.

During the credits, I was kind of taken aback that j-pop got put in, wasn't expecting that.
