Considering the video on the ps3 ui was just released today, I highly doubt there is an answer to this, BUT I figured I'd ask on the off chance someone said something related to it.

Any ideas on what they plan to do for when people need more than 16 commands? (ps3 version obviously) That feels extremely small, and will limit them greatly in the future.

I like the layout though.

You can change cross bars on the fly, kind of like macro pages or the hotbar in 1.0.

What Arch said. Every time you hit R1, it will change sets. An example of this can be seen in the first video that they released showing off gamepad controls. At around 10:45 you'll see him hit R1 which changes his set to Set 2.



You can even see the button "R1" next to the set number.

Quick question about pre order codes and bonuses etc.

I currently have FFXIV 1.0 CE Legacy Account and also a FFXIV 1.0 Legacy Standard Account. I want to get pre order bonuses for both accounts and increase the 1.0 Legacy Standard to the CE so both accounts end up with everything.

Seeing as i have windows for both accounts i was considering just getting PS3 CE + PS3 Standard and apply the PS3 CE + Pre Order Codes to the 1.0 Legacy Standard and then the PS3 Standard Pre Order Code to my main 1.0 CE Legacy Account so both could play on PS3 as well if I wanted them too. The more iv thought about it iv decided im really really unlikely to play my main 1.0 CE + Legacy account on the PS3, like probably never.

So now im going to pre order the PS3 CE and the Windows CE my questions is can i apply my pre order code from the new Windows CE to my exisitng 1.0 CE Legacy account? I know it was brought up that you cant apply CE Windows code to an already existing 1.0 standard account so I just have some concerns that the Pre Order code wont work either. Main reason is im going this route is that ill get twice the physical goodies for the same price and both accounts will end up with the same?

Pre-order codes are separate from the registration code, so that should work. The pre-order code will be entered on a website and not through PSN (code format doesn't match PSN).

Anyone elses Beta client have "undefined" where the downloading normally situates? I just want to know it's intentional or not, want to make sure I am ready and raring for tomorrow.

My launcher changed to "undefined" after it completed updating.

I know this will be a long shot but I'm going to ask anyway. But has anyone from Sweden preordered the CE from webhallen.se, if so did you get a preorder code? It's a site listed on the official list to preorder from but I haven't gotten anything from them. I am waiting to see if I get one closer to release but I want to make sure so I don't miss out on the ingame items (not too bothered with early access).

Yeah I assumed as much considering the page specifically states that it includes preorder bonuses, I just wanted confirmation in case I missed the code whilst others got it or something, so thanks.

So I can't update my client because I keep getting this error that won't allow me to click Next. Any ideas? All my shit is up to date, that was the first thing I thought to check.

I remember having a similar problem with the client a long while ago - it turned out to be I needed to update windows, forget which service pack is required, but a windows update cleared the problem for me. That's what people are suggesting on most threads I read about the problem as well.

IF YOU ARE HAVING SCRIPT ERRORS !

This thread is just to help anyone who's having trouble getting past the license agreement because of script error.

{{{Also if you've found this thread has helped please reply saying it worked so it gets bumped to the front page of the forums since a lot of people were having this issue}}}

1. Find and open your FFIV beta folder/ or you can just go to start and type in beta and you should see the "FFIV" beta file there .
2.Open FFIV_BOOT w/notepad (if notepad is not working try another program like wordpad or something).
3.There should be a "0" next to EulaAgreement, erase that "0" and put "1" in its place, then go to file and save then close out. After you have saved and closed out relaunch.
4.Also if you are using windows 7 make sure it's up to date INCLUDING IE.
5. If all else fails ( SE says: ) right click the beta app on your desktop and run as administrator. ( I didn't do this step because the previous steps solved the issue for me which is why its the last step )

Doing all of these from step 1-5 should eliminate this script error and allow you to continue with the DL process.
