There's no lv20 class quest?
Someone mentioned Leves start at level 10. Can anyone verify/provide a starting NPC for Ul'dah?
He is talking about the quest line started by Momochi (sp?) in the adventurer's guild.
Edit: Or maybe you are too high level for the quest to show, try changing to a level 1 class and look for a "!" on the adventurer's guild.
When using a controller on PC, is there a way to turn the L2/R2 button into toggle switch when pressed for using actions, especially in battle? (Versus having to hold down the L2/R2 buttons and pressing a corresponding button for an action.)
Character settings -> Hotbar -> Cross
Thanks
Quests appear according to your highest level. ie, if you are a 15 Pugilist and you go to Limsa or Gridania, you will pretty much see every quest and be able to take them. But they often have a minimum level required to actually turn them in.
@Nama thanks for the info I will check it out later when I can get online.
Now if someone could just explain to me how in the hell they think I can do my 15 THM quest solo I would be really happy. Getting repeatedly shot in the face by two level 16 Archer's is pretty un-fun.
Should work same on THM but when archers start attacking you stay close to your NPC's and dont attack them back, NPC will heal you and pull hate allowing you to pick them off one at a time or dogpile whichever enemy he is currently attacking.
So I got a PC beta key in the e-mail, does this mean I'm boned from getting a PS3 key, which is what I signed up for originally? I don't even have a PC capable of running the thing currently.
2 questions:
1. I just accepted Duty, Honor, Country on Thaum. Am I boned? I've seen some strangeness about the quest being talked about. What should I expect?
2. How do I get to Gridania from Ul'dah? I want to unlock cure.
Be at least level 15/16, I did it @ 15 on Pug but got hosed at 14. Make sure you bring an antidote and a hi potion, during the 2nd part of the fight focus on the garg not the other. Burn it down as fast as possible, use antidote soon as you are poisoned and save Hi-pot for when hp gets low, once it's around 20-25% you should be good.
To get to Gridania head to East Thanalan and walk towards the South Shroud. Once there, attune to the crystal for fun then take a chocoporter to Gridania to avoid all the aggro. Recommend grabbing snack while on auto-pilot.
On my first attempts I engaged him since.....the game tells you that you need to kill him, so it made sense at the time. I at least wanted him to be in range so I could stun his spells.
When I won I just tried staying as far away as possible, he didn't do much of anything from what I could tell and he certainly wasn't chaincasting nukes like before. The encounter could have been designed better.
Made the same mistake the first time cause of what the text says and thought I could burn him down before dying.
