Will take the amazing new zones in 2.0 all day over the larger bland versions in 1.0. Even though i'm Gridania, Uldah was and will be the Jeuno of XIV.
XIV is good at allowing you to only get a couple hours in and feel like you accomplished something. Minus a few tweaks game is looking amazing and some of the things I was worried about like auto inventory sort and gear comparison stuff I noticed is actually in just greyed out in the settings for this phase to turn on. It is actually quite a bit better then P2 was.
I hope they make city shouts appear in all cities. I hate Ul'dah with a passion and will not touch that place unless it's absolutely necessary.
With global markets and Duty Finder I have little reason to be there except for shouts.
Don't be mad because you were raised up by a whore in the streets bro. It's alright, you can be a normal person in Gridania.
LL was the best region, if not for having some of the coolest looking zones, then because there wasn't a constant retarded shout battle going on at all times. The only shouts/yells I saw were people asking random questions.
I actually hadn't seen a single shout conversation/argument/abortion until I went to another city, soon as I got to Ul'dah I immediately had to filter shouts. Good god.
I had been lulled into a false sense of faith in humanity.
Main reason Ul'dah was the main hub in 1.0 was cause of the market wards. And since everyone congregated there due to that, forming parties there was the most convenient as well. Assuming LFG search works without a hitch, the only real reason to stay in any specific city is for the shout chatter (which doesn't show across the several zones within the city either).
Btw, what the difference between the orange /sh text and the bright yellow text?
I never did find out the purpose of /yell. I assume it covers the entire zone you're in since I don't recall /shout being zone wide.
Ill re phrase what I said then. I am a Legacy member but have not received any emails to go about installing the beta client. I filled out the forms anyway to make sure I covered all my bases. I am wondering how do I get the client, and asking the Lodestone forums is about as useful as hitting my head against a brick wall. In the time since the game shut down till now, my computer had a meltdown. Along with the hard drive. Without remembering where I purchased the game before I pre ordered the game again from Amazon. So any thoughts on what to do besides wait till august.
I don't know what the issue is aside from making sure you have the right email tied to your account and the messages aren't getting sent to spam or something.
Applying for the Beta as a Legacy could have screwed things up on their end I guess, ie. you went from being already-in to being an applicant.
If you're legacy, then you should've received the beta invite way back in Phase 1. If you haven't, or can't find it, then you need to contact SE support. As far as SE is concerned, all legacy people have already received their invites codes, and no matter how many times you apply with that same email address, you're not going to get a new one. I don't know what's involved with contacting SE support for a lost beta invite.
If you already registered your beta code and seriously just can't find the client... it's on the beta forums: http://forum.square-enix.com/ARR-Tes...lient-Download
Ok... So after getting the run around from my local Gamestop for a few days i finally got given my Pre Order codes. They didnt know anything about the codes when i pre ordered and only said id be getting the Collector Edition codes so when i pushed they looked into it.
IV been given two codes in the format of below (no these are not my real codes)
PC - XYZABC-123-ABCXYZ-456
PS3 - DEFGHI-789-ATEDVA-321
Can anyone who has theirs let me know if they are in a similar structure / fashion? Want to make sure i am getting some proper codes.
Thanks!
Are you talking beta codes or item codes?
For beta codes mine were 20 characters
Legacy equates to having bought the 1.0 game and played it correct and not having paid for a subscription as well? I quit the game when sub time came up.As far as SE is concerned, all legacy people have already received their invites codes, and no matter how many times you apply with that same email address, you're not going to get a new one. I don't know what's involved with contacting SE support for a lost beta invite.
