Ok... So after getting the run around from my local Gamestop for a few days i finally got given my Pre Order codes. They didnt know anything about the codes when i pre ordered and only said id be getting the Collector Edition codes so when i pushed they looked into it.

IV been given two codes in the format of below (no these are not my real codes)

PC - XYZABC-123-ABCXYZ-456

PS3 - DEFGHI-789-ATEDVA-321

Can anyone who has theirs let me know if they are in a similar structure / fashion? Want to make sure i am getting some proper codes.

I feel like the OP should be changed OR a new sticky should be added to be an F.A.Q. for people. There are so many scattered answers out there in various interviews but the basic stuff gets lost. Even if it's just a collections of links, referring someone to a single post with all the answers might help out. 119 pages in standard view is quite a bit to sift through for a new or returning user. Is this a project worth undertaking?

Yes, answering the same questions multiple times in this and the beta 3 thread is happening, a lot of the questions can also be answered by simply going to the beta forums and looking at the P3 instruction manual.

Is it officially stated anywhere that the Ragnarok world is not located in some mythical EU center?

I know it isn't, and I can infer so much from various different sources, but I cannot find a single official word that explicitly states that Ragnarok is NOT in Europe, and is physically located alongside all the rest of the NA/EU servers in Canada.

I ask, because I have tried to explain this twice today and people still don't believe me.

I have a pc upgrade question, i use:
Acer Aspire X3960 Windows 7 64bit
Intel Core i5 2300 CPU @ 2,80GHz
8 GB Ram (I think DDR3)
AMD Radeon HD 6570 2GB DDR3

I can play the game on medium setting just fine and it looks nice, but I just wanted to ask if there would be any "easy/cheap'" upgrade to get a even better result?
I would love to play on max. but that might cost too much money, any idea?

Not implemented yet. No idea if they've gone into specifics about it yet, but it has Carbuncle, some heals, and maybe some dots?

from what I remember from the phase2 dat mine it was DoTs + pet class and you could set up carbuncle to be a tank/healer

Arcanist is a class. Summoner and Scholar are jobs branching from said class.

Unless we hear otherwise, all three of these will share the same level, and you can get exp for all of them on any one of them.

Other way around, Arcanist is the class, Summoner is the job. Scholar will also be one of the 2 jobs attached to Arcanist.

The leaked Arcanist skills were mostly focused on non-elemental nukes and DoTs, interesting enfeebles, as well as some pet support and mage-related self-buffs.

Summoner job pretty much just adds elemental pets (primal "egi"s).
Scholar job will add HoT (regen) skills and a support-focused pet (fairy).

It's also up in the air how this whole two-jobs-per-class thing will work; such as "will switching to Summoner or Scholar lock out the ability to summon Carbuncle?", the possibility of a job locking out base-class skills. I'm hoping they just use job-based traits to modify the preexisting class skills to fit the job's niche if it's different enough from the class. How they described Scholar's role makes it already feel like a big change from how Arcanist would play.

(Would we get in trouble for posting/linking the now-probably-outdated Arcanist skill list mined from Phase-2?)

Get an AMD 7850 and call it a day.

I didn't see this anywhere .... since I was too busy downloading the damn client that took 5 hours due to congestion, I didn't see what actual time the servers went live. I assume it will be the same time this Friday and want to plan accordingly, I can't seem to find the post I came across Saturday

We don't know for sure yet since they haven't posted it so it's subject to change. If it stays the same servers will be up at 4am cst Friday morning and go down at 4am cst Sunday.
