Oh right. I was with a good group doing it for the first time and it didn't seem that difficult. We got over 60k every time.

Did they fix PL'n with 1.22c? Seems the usual: PL + Low lvl in same pt > claim mobs > disband > kill doesn't work anymore. Tried it a few times haven't gotten a single exp.
Just tried PL'n and it still works.
Lets face it, the anima reward is a bit too much when you look at (supposedly) how scarce a resource it is supposed to be. When turning in just a small number of hamlet items, or winning just 3 times in one evening, means that -hundreds- of anima goes to waste because you can't even hold that much, the balance is off. I think this is a hint that the system may have more significant changes in 2.0 than we were expecting.
A 60k+ win should give you at most 50 anima, 50K+ should give you 25, and 20K+ 10.
Having a system that doesn't allow you to travel quickly at will is retarded anyway, I don't see what you're complaining about. That is one of the things that has to change for this game to succeed. You can't penalize people for wanting to play the game, instant travel, easy xp grinds, easy to progress gear have to pretty much be ingrained in your product.
If you feel otherwise, that's great, but 2 years from now when the population is still 15,000 it will be a relevant failure. There's a lot of little things that matter to MMO gamers that FF fans will overlook and that's what has to be overcome to put out an enjoyable product.
I'm gonna say it again. Fuck the god damn motherfucking piece of shit that is the market wards. Come back after a couple of months, want to sell some of the random shit I have that's worth more than NPCing to get my cash flow back...and every single fucking ward is full.

Why does anima reward need to be fixed? It's a victimless crime.
What churchill and gadritan said, i feel the same way.
On a more positive tip, How does one aquire Touch of Rage Materia IV? is it just a random materia you get from turning gear into materia? or is there certain gear i should aim to spirit bond ?
Also, for the relic quest, I assume Mailbreaker becomes ... unfinished curtana? Is the mailbreaker the sword your supposed to use to double meld two tier 4 materia too?
Touch of Rage comes from Waist, Bracelet, GLA weapon, and MRD weapon.
Official List of what materia comes from where.
And yeah market wards are shit. Can't wait for a proper AH. Love having to search through every single ward for HQ gold ore cause there are 60 listings.
Dated Tarred Voyager belts are usually cheap and a ton up for sale. That's a good item to spam while trying, but it still comes down to RNG.
If you want to be depressed someone tracked what materia he got and included some percentages:

Looks like it's just data on gear, don't see weapons listed.
I'm not suggesting the anima reward needs fixing, but it certainly makes anima useless. Useless as in they may as well remove it and allow free teleporting rather than get rid of it and teleporting. Having to rely on airships and chocobos to get around just wouldn't be enough. They need to give airships another use however because I would rather teleport from a city to a city than bother running to/from the airports.
Does anyone else always try to make sure that bonuses melded on their gear always end in either a 5 or a 0? XD

It's just so much prettier.
I bought a pair of felt halfgloves with +38 STR on them forever ago at a really great price and it's never stopped bothering me.
I like my endless anima, I really do. However I can objectively state that one 25 minute event should not give back ~2 weeks worth of anima. And turning in even a moderate amount of items for points should not be rewarding hundreds of anima over the 100 anima cap.
All I'm saying is this isn't in balance, and is likely an indication that the system will see some kind of adjustment in 2.0.
Personally I like having enough anima to run around without worry and do whatever I want without having to conserve. Since most people tend to do multiple hamlet runs, does it really matter if you get (moderate amount) or (all) back?
If I had to guess with 1.0 winding down, that giving everyone more anima than they can shake a yew wand at isn't really bothering them as far as balance goes.
Even if they adjust it to the value you suggested, people will still cap out on anima because people spam hamlet 4-7runs inna row. You also get rewarded anima for turning in supplies and to reach top 3, you need 2M+ in supplies.
Its a very good incentive to do hamlet, which alot of people hate, but it gives them the freedom of unlimited anima. A fair tradeoff. You low on anima, turn in some supplies or do 1 hamlet.
I enjoy my liberal use of anima as i'm teleporting to alot of events. Given the new Relic requirements you need to travel to AV/CC, behest, supply farming, no more death warping and so on. Enjoy the excess anima and make use of it.
