What i Heard is that you cant apply a PC 2.0 CE (Physical) to a 1.0 account, and that you would need a PS3 CE for the Physical bonuses

Edit : Customers in possession of the Collector's Edition for either version 1.0 or A Realm Reborn will receive these Collector's Edition items without needing to purchase the upgrade. (digital items)

Right you can't apply a physical 2.0 collectors editions in game bonuses to a standard 1.0 account, you do the digital upgrade for that. The physical bonuses when purchasing any 2.0 physical collectors edition will always be there because they are actual physical items you get with the CE packaging and have nothing to do with your account.

How early is the early access? I have the 1.0 CE, not spending another $70 to get in a week early.

I am wondering about this as well. The message on the launcher makes it seem as though beta phase 3 is over and phase 4 is pretty much an early start in itself. So lets say p3 is over and p4 starts between week 3 July and week 1 of August and lasts 1-3 weeks(weekends?) . That leaves like 2 weeks or so at the most for them to patch and finalize the game AND have it running for early access.

If it weren't for the items, I wouldn't have pre-ordered.

Not to mention the typical launch day delays that will probably happen at early access and hopefully get fixed by official launch.

If you have "party member effects: off" or "party member effects: some" set will you not see the LB animation go off when you initiate it? Did it twice and all I got for Braver was standing there casting and then I saw in chat log the damage it did.

Has anyone tried out a cleric's stance build on THM? I started boosting my INT stat from the beginning so I haven't given it a proper try, but I imagine that it could be really excellent.

Unless something changes before release, you won't be able to use Cleric's Stance on BLM, so that's probably not a good idea unless you want your BLM to suck or you plan to never use BLM. Also, I have a feeling that THM INT stat will be higher than MND, even if you spend all your points in MND. You might be able to edge out a tiny bit more damage if you tried such a crazy build, but please... please think of your BLM.

While we're talking about THM though, had anyone found a practical use for Aetherial Manipulation (Lv50THM skill)? It just... seems so pointless, especially given its 3 minute cooldown... am I missing something?

This is my exact boat. I got early access to GW2 and it turned out to be pretty pointless. I know i'd have more fun here, but I really don't want to blow another 70 when I bought the CE the first time around.

"Q," "E," and "R" are examples of the high-importance hotkeys that I mean.

Yoshi mentioned that Coliseum PvP will be 4v4. This spell could be really clutch if the enemy team catches you out of position and tries to burst you down. Conversely, you could AM to a teammate who catches an enemy mage and swiftcast a blizzard II to disrupt them more.

No idea other then SE wanting you to purchase the CE upgrade which is cheaper then the other options.

If I pre-order the collector's edition, then register the pre-order and collector's edition codes to my existing account, will I be able to get all the in game items?

A: You will receive the pre-order items, but the registration code for the Windows collector's edition cannot be used with a pre-existing Windows service account. To receive the in game items for the collector's edition, please use the digital upgrade.

However, the PS3 version can be registered to an existing Windows account, which would allow you to receive the collector's edition items.
