UI is a matter of what works for you, like mentioned by Raldo.

However, that doesn't mean that certain setups don't work better if you take the time to get used to them. I think my background in PC FPS makes it easier for me to click, but I know plenty of healers in WoW who learned the same way. I'll admit that I played 1.0 full keyboard (and it was easy enough to require nothing else for most classes) but that and XI are the only games I've done that with. If nothing else, I highly recommend swapping the digits to 12345QERFG and getting used to the game that way. It'll change your life yo.

The first couple of tests I was enraged because I couldn't two-hand the keyboard like 1.0 but have come to realize the superiority of this.

How are they going to change how you get Grand Company notes? I saw that for beta purposes only you could get them from FATEs and Company leves, will it just be leves when it is released? Also, I have seen conflicting responses to the "end of Beta 3" question .... Was this weekend the last weekend or is the July 14th date accurate? I know phase 3 characters will be deleted anyway, would just be a shame that I spent my last few hours Sunday morning running around to the NPCs that auto-level you to 15 in preparation for next weekend if there wont *BE* a next weekend. >.>

Question about Hermes Sandals, from 1.0. I've only one FF14 service account, and the Hermes Sandals are on my 1.0 character, and all characters created are supposed to receive them, since this was an active account. (http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/topics/ffxiv) During the Beta, none of the non 1.0 created characters received them but did get the Onion Helm and Asuran Armlets; will they show up when the game is launched, like the new CE items, or never to be seen again?

The thing that's different is while Asuran Armguards, Onion Helm, and Garlond Goggles are codes permanently registered to your XIV account, Hermes' Sandals were only found on characters created while both XI and XIV services were active on your Square-Enix Account. Maybe they'll bring it back, requiring you to purchase a month of XI, and maybe it's a relic of yester-years.

This weekend was not the last. We still need to test Duty Finder, which makes the 14th a pretty believable date.

As for company seals, not sure. I actually would like if they left them with FATE too, is a pretty cool way to farm them.

Hm...forgot about the dual account thing, and since I likely will never go back to FFXI, it's yester-years for me, if true. Still, was nice having perma-sprint with them, at least in towns.

Grand Company has their own hunting log also that grants Company notes so thats another option along with supply mission, provisions and other misc stuff they ask for.

Unless something changes at launch, existing characters will continue to have them; new characters will not.

Semi FFXI semi FFXIV but need help gave my FFXI account to afriend and she changed all the settings on it exept my email adress (on the SE account) and I want to recuperate that email for my FFXIV account, since it's registered to my old FFXI account SE site says that it's already in use.

Friend gave my password to log into the SE website but she forgot the security passwords (which is asked when i try to change my email on the account)

And of course SE support is no help

Quick answer, how can i remove my email on my old SE account and put it on my new SE account ?

Also maybe some 1.0 players could help, but I saw the strange purple icon for Sylphlands and had to run over to see what it was.

Based on the map, it doesn't seem to be a zone as it's all outside. Some google searching lead to a post by Rocl saying something about strongholds. I'm guessing that's more like a Castle Oztroja type thing?

People have posted that they've set their phones/text messages to use them but haven't mentioned how they specifically did it. Also, I remember some people posting that some CS were voiced, but doing each city's missions up to the first dungeon, I never heard any voice acting; what gives?
