I thought the progression was a little awkward but yes. The next step is the Ifrit battle. Either talk to the NPC that says <Bowl of Embers> while in a pt or queue up via the Dungeon Finder.
It could certainly be clearer, yeah. Before the duty finder, it used to drop you in the cave and there was an NPC that you could talk to who told you the requirements and allowed you to enter. Based on your experiences, I'd guess that NPC is now gone thanks to the duty finder, so you should be good to just toss your lot in the duty finder and wait.
In its (mediocre) defense, the cave (or at least the disjointed nature of it) is a bit of a placeholder for how we'll get to Ifrit on release. Also, they removed the NPC so that we would be forced to use/test the duty finder; I'm presuming that'll be an option again at some point.
Is it possible to make a character in one city and run all the way over to another city to start the main storyline? I want to play Arcanist at launch but I want to start in Gridania... (I don't care about being away from the guild, I can teleport to and from.) Thinking I'd start as Arcanist and then run my ass to Gridania.
EDIT: Wrong thread!
Anyone know what the conditions are for getting FATE credit after you've left?
You're an awful human being and like Evane said it won't work. You'll start in Limsa because Arcanist and the main story will force you to go to Baderon because he'll be the next step in your initial quest chain. You also can't leave the beginning instance or Ahldskyf will yell at you.
We need a random fail ( beta forum thread) will have 25 pages in 1 day
I don't think you can do Limsa to Gridania without taking a ferry, You can run from Ul'dah to Gridania though.
I've just stayed in the zone after running out of a fate that I had participated in for about 25% of the mob still got credit, not full credit but i think it was a Silver
Where is the quest for The Thousands maws?
Read the patch notes etc.
In order to enter a dungeon, players must also have accepted or completed certain quests. The following dungeons can be accessed by proceeding directly to their respective entrances, as their required quests are not available in phase 3.
Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak
Haukke Manor
Brayflox’s Longstop
I don't play MRD so I thought I'd ask here. What would you say is the primary stat for this class? STR for attack or is it a pure tank class now and thus stack VIT?
