If I preorder PS3 CE. I can still use the early access code to play on PC right? I should still get the pre-order bonus items that way I assume. I just need a PS3 to actually unlock the collector's edition bonuses, correct?

I will not have a PS3 until the GTA V bundle comes out 9-17. I just would like to be sure. I have PC 1.0 already.

That depends if you have 1.0. If you do, then afaik yes, if not, then I believe you need to activate the account on the PS3 first.

Green gear is almost always better than pink gear.

Pink gear just gets a random bonus stat(s), so I guess situationally it might win but general rule of thumb is Green will be higher ilvl and prob better

Also fwiw you can get pink gear outside of dungeons too. I found a few nice pink weapons in coffers during leves.

Pink gear is called aetherial gear. It's meant to be the gear of fallen adventurers. IIRC, the higher spiritbond on that gear, the better the stats.

From what I understand, the versions are more or less separate. You have to purchase the PC version in addition to purchasing a copy for the PS3 if you want to play on both platforms.

I've got a 3 year old HP laptop that cost me about $600 when I bought it. Only got 2200 or so on the benchmark, but it played beta3 just fine. Only time I would lag at all was in the adventurers guild in Gridania.

I'd definitely try to get something with a discrete card, which I think isn't too hard to find in that price range; I flipped off the 640M on my laptop when testing it out and felt that Intel graphics were playable but bordering on frustrating.

I have a Lenovo with a 660m from about 9 months ago. The highest settings push it a little too hard, but on lower settings it's great. Cost was around $750 I believe. You can certainly find something in your price range where the game will be playable.

Pink gear seems to be the same names as crafted gear but with slightly better stats. I wonder if it will be better than that same crafted piece with materia.

I have been using my 2009 alienware m11x(r1) runs the game fine at medium settings. U could prolly find one used for under $300

So.
I want to play THM, but I like Gridania and the area.

I haven't seen anything in regards to job/class quests, aside from knowing that I cant do THM quests in Gridania.. but what about everything else?

What's the best way to do this?
Should I start off as LNC so im put in Grid, and then switch to THM to move through the local quests/missions, and go to Uldah for any job/class quests?
Should I start off as THM so the game knows I'm an "official" THM, then go to Grid to level, and back to Uldah for quests?

How often will I need to return to Uldah? Just for the lvl15 spell?
is there any other reasons that would make it difficult to do this?
Best way to get back and forth? Teleport somehow? Do I have to walk to each place before I can do that?
Anything else I'm missing?
