If you're speaking about the giant turtle from the benchmark, that was just a normal turtle that SE blew up benchmark purposes.

Oh hey I got my beta test mail. I looked at the dates and thought "how??" until I checked the calendar....

The final beta test will kick off on Monday 16 August 2013 at 9:00 GMT and last until Friday 19 August 2013 at 9:00 GMT.

What codes will I be receiving, where will they come from, and when can they be applied?

It has been many moons since I preordered the CD, so I don't remember all the codes I am supposed to be getting.
-I have 1.0 CE
-I preordered 2.0 physical PC CE from SE (it came with a code, but doesn't say what its for).

So in total.. 2, 3, 4 codes maybe?
Code for early access? Code from registering the game itself? Code for 1.0 items? Code from 2.0 items? (maybe 1 code for both).
Delivered all digitally? Some digitally, some in the CE box?

Just trying to make sure I have everything.

I know that code is for use on the Early Access site (slated to open, or rather, change; August 20th)

There's no code for the 1.0 items aside from what you previously received with 1.0 (and i'm assuming, have redeemed)
Those items are bound to your account and will be available on any character(s) you currently have/will create.

Code for 2.0 items will likely be included in your physical copy of the CE, or as Ratatapa mentioned below, may be included as part of the Early Access code (XXXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX-XXX format)
You should not need to use the "registration" code included in your 2.0 CE as you already have an active FFXIV service account due to your 1.0 purchase.
