Yea pieces, does it matter on just the level of the item of what quality it will yield? I've been spamming dated mythril bracelets for a long time, and am wanting to expand on it.

btw Gobbue mount will be unavailable to get for new people after 1.23a get on that shit quick
I do:
Head: Any of the Electrum circlets (really cheap to make: electrum ingot+jewel).
Gloves: Felt bracers (somewhat expensive but I make them myself and have endless mats)
Belt: Dated Tarred Voyager's belt
Rings: Dated Electrum Ring x2
Earring: Electrum earring
Neck: Raptorskin choker
Bracers: Coral Wristband
Weapon: Demilune Bhuj
Most of the stuff is pretty overpriced on the AH, I would probably SB a lot less if I couldn't make my own things.

I am working on a few luminaries and have several 50 crafts, so I make the cheapest level-correct gear I can and bond it everywhere (except neck and hands where I have the SB+ items, working on the ring one)
I make a lot of electrum earrings (combining mining + gsm), they have a chance of making PTY materia, which at least on my server can quickly be worth its weight in electrum!
Coral Rings are a cheap option. Makes Attack, STR, MND, Hells' Fist to name a few.
Best job to PL with? Out of curiousity.
THM/CON for AOEs at will.
If they claim it you can kill it, if they aggro it and you one-shot it you can kill it, or you can do the drop party method after pulling.
If doing the first method, you'll need to protect/SS them so PLD/THM/CON, same with second, third can be anything with AoE but WAR is nice because steel cyclone doesn't require a target
Alright, thanks.
This is random, but not a question.
I was trekking around Mor Dhona and wanted to see what the view of Castrum Novum looked like from the other side. Forget the guards, doors, and everything... give me a shovel and 5 minutes and I"ll be at the transmitter entrance!

Seriously, you get like 30 yalms away with just the one wall between you and the entrance. Talk about frustrating!
What's a good up and coming healer set look like? CNJ will be 40 in about 10 min's, so 50 will be sometime this week, and what level should i look to have my THM at before I start actually using my CNJ/WHM ? THM is my next job to 50 for the simple fact of utlility/PL/Caravan duty. But what does a good Endgame raiding CNJ/WHM look like, i guess would be my question. Thanks in advance.
Well for most things you will need either a healing set, an enhancing set, or both smashed together. I'll just do the latter since that's probably what most people do anyway. Here's more-or-less what to aim for, with good alternates:
WEP: Chiran Zabran's Tempest (HMP+40) / Garuda's Wile / Moogle Wand
(SUB: Raptorskin Targe [HP x2] / Aubriest's Allegory)
HD: AF
BD: AF
HN: Darklight Gloves / Craftable Hands [HP x2]
LG: Felt Trousers [HP x2]
FT: AF
WAIST: Militia Belt / Raptorskin Satchel Belt [HP x2]
EARS: Blessed Earring
NECK: Black Pearl Choker / Stonewall Choker
WRISTS: Raptorskin Wristbands / Amber Bracelets
RINGS: Blessed Ring / Amber Rings / Stonewall Rings
All the additional HP for is for Blissful Mind charging in case that wasn't obvious. VIT is for Enhancing Magic, which is fantastic when you can get it (I highly recommend it). There are also good nuking sets, but that's more advanced play and can be filled in when you work on THM since they would share identical gear sets for the most part.
Does it matter which Grand Company you join? Or do you have to join your nation's only?
Can join whichever. And since you're forced to do like 9 quests per GC before being permitted to choose, you'll have a fairly good idea of what to expect from each before you join. (seriously though, look at the gear first)
Oh man, I hope we don't start abbreviating Healing Magic Potency as HMP, but I fail to see how else it might be abbreviated. It is going to be so hard for me not to read that as Healing MP from FFXI.
At least AMP sounds cool! (Attack Magic Potency)
I like ATP (an energy transfer system)
How do I do a meld request?
And is there a way to search for specifically +1 items?
The same way you do a repair request for an individual item (click on it in the inv).
No.
