We stopped at all the same spots, got all the extra mobs to spawn including the "boss" at the end. Didn't count how many mobs though, I'll do that next time.
I've done 8-minute runs, and I don't remember that giving 1k seals, but I could be wrong on that.
When you stop at all the right spots, it's still about a 50/50 shot if you'll get 750 or 1000 seals at the end. As said above (and there was a bit of a discussion on this in another thread, don't remember which one) it's a matter of if enough mobs pop and are killed so unfortunately it's random. I've been with some groups who keep track as the caravan is going on, and know if it becomes mathematically impossible to get 1000 and stop holding the caravan, but I haven't really figured that part out for myself.
BTW, you only get about :45 seconds to rejoin the next caravan until it was a full PT and it started early.
Have mogfork and mogfists, if I were to choose an ifrit weapon which would be better: harpoon or claws? I lean towards claws
if gear is a factor, my gear will be the best you could get sans darklight/militia
The difference in DPS of Moogle vs Ifrit is negligible. Get whichever you like better, or just wait until you end up with one or the other, then spend your tokens on the other.
If I had to give an actual reason to pick one or the other, I would say get Ifrit Claws, because Dragoon AF gears toward crit, and Mogfork has +crit on it.
From what I understand, the higher the base dmg of the weapon, the higher the cap is for your stats. The 330/310 test was done with Ifrit weapons.
If by negligible you mean you could get by just fine, or that it "looks," like it's "about the same," then ya. But if you're talking about min/maxing to cap your DPS for stuff like 17min AV/CC runs, then no, it's not negligible.
I bet you're using this fucker aren't you http://plus4chan.org/b/cog/src/133459996793.jpg
What's the opinion on the Explorer's pieces with Crit rate, are they worth stacking up when Darklight pieces aren't an option yet?
Nope. The choker and earring are the only worthy explorer's gear imo.
Not the ring? Shit, why'd I buy this thing?
Hah, naw I just run around in AF 'cause I don't give a shit pre-2.0, so I should probably go get myself a proper ring.
A Rubellite ring +1 is 11 atk anyway, wearing the ring on anything but DEX/PIE-capped ARC is stupid.
A good rule of thumb is never gear yourself like people you see in game, just ask here
Alright then :D pretty much just got drg to 50, running around in full AF, a redspike polearm, 2 acc rings, 4 evasion earring, a 5 dex 10 acc belt
i've clueless as to what direction i should be heading in when it comes to stats, STR/PIE obviously, but i currently have the experience to know which pieces of AF i should be replacing, and what i should be replacing them with, help is appreciated
Easy enough. If you plan on leveling all classes to 50, paragon's crown will replace af head. Darklight helm is another option but crown has +10 all stat. For body a cobalt/ ds haub or scale mail with PIEx2 materia is best. Shoot for 30-40. Hands aim for felt bracers with STRx2/3 (~+40 or as close to as can get). At that point accessories should be pretty obvious to hit stat caps. Other options for gear include darklight feet for drg and militia subligar, or melded pie or str legs.
Where is our summer event?![]()
Does anyone know of a halfway decent model viewer? I'm trying to find the new GC 2LT weapons but it doesn't appear like the one I have has been updated since 2010, doesn't list anything except enemies by name, etc etc.
