1UP: Transitioning to the actual gameplay... A lot of existing players have one or more classes to 50, the max level. What can they look forward to in 2.0? Will will we see a level cap increase? In the screenshots I couldn't help but notice that there's a new spell effect... It looks like there's some new stuff in there, but I don't know how we're going to get it.
NY: First off, personally we believe that there still aren't enough buffs or debuffs or crowd-control types of abilities and spells. The first thing was adding more of these. The next thing we'll be doing is adding a lot more challenging content for higher-level users, a lot of high-end content. We mentioned the Final Fantasy III last dungeon, the Crystal Tower, and we'll have our own Final Fantasy XIV version of the Crystal Tower, which will be aimed at those high-level players.
As for raising the level cap or not,
we're still considering whether to do that, so we can't say anything at the moment. The other thing is, right now we have a lot of content for full parties, just one party, but we're going to be offering increased content for alliances of three parties, so up to 24-player instanced raids, things like that.
We want to assure the players that we haven't forgotten about that high-level content, we're going to be adding a lot of new things for them.
