has no sanction, and if you do, return to Inn, take port to flames, get sanction, return to Dragonhead.
And no, there isn't a worthwhile method to achieving that 5 piece bonus.

i have it, and i havent even attepted to use the gear bonus, i cant give up that many slots lol. so i guess im on the hunt for a moogle axe
Since the glaringly obvious and ridiculous flaw wasn't pointed out, I feel the need to.
52 STR gives you 34 atk. To claim that 10 ATK increased your damage more than 52 STR is ridiculous to begin with, when you realize the 52 STR is also giving you 24 more atk than you had? Yea, enough said.
Aside from eye balling being worthless, the difference is so obscenely in favor of the STR that if you eye balled a damage decrease, you need to get your eyes checked.
unless the atk you get from str is not added to your atk value on screen. i dunno how right that is. as swapping said gloves resulted in a loss of 52 str and an increase in 10 atk. my point was to bring my observations to the table and see what i needed to do to optimize myself, if you cant contribute to that, then dont post. if you cant eyeball an obvious drop in melee damage hit for hit, then maybe your eyes need checking. with 1 pair i can reach a number that i cant with another, done.
It isn't shown in the stat screen, neither is ACC from DEX or DEF from VIT.
Only base stat->magic stat improvements display in the menu.
If you're still claiming +52 str and +24 atk reduced your damage, I don't know what to tell you.
(edit: a little nicer)
asshole award goes to you kind sir
If you think I'm an asshole, son, you ain't seen nothin.
Did you test DEX post 1.21 at all? vis a vis ACC:: DEX
Never did a formal test on it, I've long since foregone testing with 2.0 so close, never even finished testing new crit rates/caps.
Looking at the acc numbers of prior crit tests (post 1.21) and examining how hit rate varied based on changes in my dex/acc that happened to occur due to the shifting around of crit gear the 2:3 ratio was plausible. Given the STR:ATK relationship was long since established and BRD has 99% acc on damn near everything it wouldn't be much of a stretch to hypothesize the physical stats share a ratio just as the magic stats do.
maybe that's why I actually wear acc on brd, fuck all the dex
Eh? You've lost me.
You'd be better off using DEX than ACC.
Not in available slots
Yea you would, between BRD's traits, their naturally high DEX, and the extra 22 you get from allocation, you should be able to gear for DEX rather than acc at all opportunities without issue and get the damage boost as well.
With the only sources of ACC on BRD being 6 from felt gloves and 5(6?) from raptor harness I never saw non-capped ACC.
Is there like an ffxiclopedia for this game? :X
Not really... I'm sure it's the radical changes as of late that make very few people care to bother... at least until ARR launches.
Until then, Eorzeapedia, Mooglebox, FFXIVmaps, XIVPads, etc.
I'd agree, but I'm not above admitting possible confirmation bias.
Answer: parse.
I'm with y'all on that. It's not as bad as old Impulse Drive was but it's not great either. My eyeballs tell me it's around accuracy -30.
