To set bonus with the shield requires 4 pieces. Shield,choker bracelets are fine but what's a viable option for the fourth?

Belt is a terrible slot (unless you have a double/triple -enmity belt or are using the primal materias) and if you wanted to use earrings for some reason, you'd still gain more from the 4set than using a +5mattack earring (is it 7int vs 5mattack?) in this situation since you'll be spamming thunder>thundara. I'd say belt, but maybe wait for someone else to give their thoughts before spending seals, I'm not from Ul'dah and I vaguely remember these stats.

EDIT: Sanction body/hat work too, of course, but that's what Churchill already said in his initial comment so I assumed you really didn't want to go for sanction since you asked this question.

EDIT2: Checked mozk to make sure I wasn't making numbers up. Keep in mind you're going to lose 15 mattack if you use that choker instead of a HQ spinel one. Should really consider using the sanction pieces.

You will have to kill the imperial with the Red Armor (the lv59 one, I think) + one other that's usually standing in the entrance of the lake.

If that much enmity is important to you considering replacing Magician's Earring for the GC Earring. You don't need +30 HP and Healing Magic, but you also don't really need +5 Matk or +3 Macc/+1 Refresh as much as you might need the set bonus (with -enmity).

Otherwise, just replace the belt and watch your enmity better.

Anyone has DC problems during crafting latly?

In the last 2-3 days when i craft i got alot of lag (clicking an abil and taking 5-10sec before using the craft)

Or R0 during crafting

But it only appears when crafting, i can fight or do w/e without dcing

Are you crafting in areas of high population? Usually if I craft right in ul'dah i get random dc/r0/lag probably because it keeps loading different people. I try to craft in like hall of flames corner or some lower population area

I can't remember what it was called and it probably won't help as I'm playing on the Japanese version (a lot of the mob names in that area is different in the JP version compared to the EN one), but it doesn't pop only at night. I do remember, however, that when it switched to night it was the only imperial that didn't depop in the lake area besides the one with the Red Armor.

As for why it seemed like only killing the Red one seemed sufficient, most likely it linked and/or agroed while killing the Red one.

Another garuda question (blm this time)

my very acc setup has 345int 496 matk and 468macc before food, i -know- macc needs to be lowered to 450. question is, should i replace my 2 coral +1s for black pearl rings +1s.. reducing macc but raising magic crit rate +20 to stack with the mage choker. OR, should i replace 1 coral+1 with zircon +1 for the 18int... or replace mage choker with spinel for the 30ish matk bonus using thunder?

and are -enmity belts worth it for blm?
