Is there an easier way to figure out selling profit vs npc price without checking the NPC price first(via website even) or do you literally check the item, if the value is less than 10k you npc it?

Check the price that people are selling the item for in the wards. I don't know why you're taking NPC price into account here. Except in a few select circumstances, the pittance of gil that the NPC will offer won't even compare to what you can get on the wards.

If it's not listed in the wards, then you have two options:
1) Guess
2) Put the item up for some stupid-high value, then once it's searchable in the wards (10 minutes or so), check the sales history, and adjust accordingly.

My 10k value was in reference to selling in low quantities. If I can sell a Wolf Fang for 1,000g, but I only have 6 of them, I'm not going to waste a bazaar slot. To be entirely honest, my cutoff value is more like 30k.

I can't speak for price history, but it doesn't wipe retainers or what they're selling, so it doesn't usually matter.

If an item hasn't been posted since the last maintenance it won't show up in the wards period.

If an item has been posted, but sold and there are currently none in stock, it won't show up via the search function, but if you look it up manually by going thru the menus you can find it and check the history.

Mmmk, thanks everyone. I suppose it's probably not worth the time to npc check everything since out of the 150 items I just sorted through today, only 10 had a higher npc price than wards price and those weren't worth selling at the wards anyway. Just in a rather ingrained habit from XI ^^;

Does anyone know what a good bait/lure is for someone doing G5 fishing? Trying to finish up the remainder of my abused classes, and I can't find any info on what I should be using.

Where are the mobs that spawn at the non-killable Atomos camps?

I've had that stupid quest open forever but whenever I happen by a passive Atomos there's never any mobs in sight.

Sometimes he just doesn't summon anything after popping. Try a different camp.

1) They removed his ability to spawn monsters at "low-level camps".

2) He only spawns monsters at night (18:00 and 0:00), despite floating above them at several times throughout the day. I don't know if he still spawns monsters at 18:00 anymore, so he may only spawn them at 0:00.

The only high-level blue camp that he spawns at that I can think of is Dragonhead, so just head to Dragonhead at 0:00. There's usually only one or two monsters that aren't grouped up in a party of three (skeleton + imp + ghost), so if you're doing it in a very small group, be sure to look for that one.

Everyone in the party gets credit for the quest once one monster is dead. Despite what the quest implies, you don't actually have to give him anything. You "get" a sort of quest key item thing.

You receive a key item for the quest upon the first time you kill any of the mobs. They do, however, drop Over-aspected Crystals which are completely unrelated to the quest.
