The last few weeks I've grown really fond of the dungeon final boss theme. It plays when you fight Batraal, Miser, etc. I'm not sure if it was in the original batch of songs from Uematsu though..

Luckily it's in ARR for sure. Oh and they're going to have Uematsu come back and do some more songs according to Yoshi-P.

Smart move considering the rest of the "FF feel" he's trying to maintain, although I do have a thing for this more Sakimoto-inspired stuff lately.

On the bright side, the spam in NA General Discussion is a sign that there is a moderate amount of interest in ARR right? ~63K posts in less than two weeks.

The dumb threads are made by the minority and do not represent the opinions of the majority in the slightest. Because its a forum where thousands of people visit daily, it's easy for the less intelligent people who lack the ability to think for themselves to be persuaded to agree with their idiotic ideology. If you have my type of perspective where you take human nature into account then you can understand why people do certain things and act certain ways. In this case, people don't like the game for x/y/z reason so they want as many people as possible to agree with them that the game is bad in some regard/s.

^ First one is just regular dungeon battle (just Darkhold or AV/CC too? Didn't do much of either), second was story/class/quest battle.

I know for sure that the first was used in AV and Darkhold. Couldn't remember what the second was used for, but it sounded familiar.

Wow so it was actually Uematsu that made that one. The second one is the song I was talking about. It's used for Darkhold/AV/CC bosses not the class quests.

Emailed SE for support, still waiting for a reply. But I solved the problem on my own, thanks to a post I saw in the general FFXIV OF. Figured I'd post it here in case anyone else encounters the same issue:

For some reason my SE account management profile had two FFXIV accounts, called FFXIV 1 and FFXIV 2. I think #1 might have been from my original launch account, as I had a lapse before I picked it back up again after a few patches. At any rate, the old FFXIV 1 account was listed as inactive, while the FFXIV 2 account was active and linked to my characters. I clicked the button to "reactivate service" for the FFXIV 1 account, and that seemed to somehow free up my overall SE account. I take it that the general SE account was somehow defaulting to the deactivated FFXIV account instead of the active one.

That sort of sounds confusing I guess, but if anyone else has a similar problem feel free to PM me.

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here, but this is funny. I submitted an online help request to SE when my problem first occurred, just for the laughs. They finally responded to me last night and told me to delete my cookies. I have to give them credit- at least they didn't tell me to check my TCP/IP settings.

I don't know if the is nda or not but any news on what changes are planned for pugilist / monk in 2.0 I know u saw the quote claiming it would be overhauled from the ground up

No specifics are known and probably won't until the class is available to play.

Is the game fun? My 2 friends with beta access just logged in made tools ran around bitching about the lag and have been playing other stuff since.
