SNES VC is only going to matter for me if we get Seiken 3 or Mother 3. Kinda shitty they're restricting it to New 3DS though.

Did Atlus have a say in renaming SMTXFE for the west? I kind of wonder if they forced that hand.

Star Fox looks much improved and really good. I bet Miyamoto's "side" game was the reason for the delay.

Paper Mario looks great!

Yay for DQVII getting a release window.

Was hoping for a FE Fates reissue of the special edition.

We need to be told how/why Federation Force is so critical in the Metroid timeline? Yeah, you dun goofed. -Or- "Shit guys, Blastball won't cut it. What can we tack on in under a year to make it passable?". Yeah, theyre really turning on the P.R. for this one.

They need someone else to work alongside Trinen on these. He's fine as a presenter, but it just becomes too dry for 40 minutes.

Not bad of a direct. Kinda bummed Paper Mario was the only real "surprise".

Paper Mario has a lot of salt with it. A lot of people gonna be waiting to hear how much shit from Sticker Star carries over to this.

I'm legit excited for Star Fox though. Looks like a good return to form.

Im pretty excite and rather terrified of Paper Mario. Im optimistic about it but they really didn't show much for a game coming out this year. Fans and Nintendo seem to be at odds with what the series should be, fans want rpg ala 1000year door and Nintendo thinks its more an action adventure now. Same fan v nintendo identify issue seems to apply to federation force further amplifed by this being year being aniversary of metroid. Only way fed force can stand is if its along side a proper metroid... Either way its all aboard the star fox hype arwing for me.
If anything direct really pushed that 3DS still has alot of life and support planned despite the potential handheld nature of NX and 3ds' age. Wii U on otherhand is limping along till NX but finally star fox!

I'm not as miffed that you don't play as Samus in Federation Force as I am about the game looking like crap in general. Even if you played as Samus I don't think I'd want the game, it almost makes Metroid Prime: Hunters look good and that was a DS game. I'm not usually one to rag on the graphics of a game but I donno, a 3DS game shouldn't look that... blocky. It also has to do with the Chibi-inspired art style. I thought the suits were 3 feet tall at first glance but then you see what looks like a 5 inch man (4 inches of that being his head) climb into said 3 foot robot, gundam style and I just went "well, that happened." I don't know, the game just isn't for me and I'm a pretty big Metroid fan. I think most people feel the same way judging by most comments I've seen since E3 last year.

So I played the original PM a ton, and some of the newer games (Thousand year door, and I think another one) but never Sticker Star. Why do so many people hate sticker star and why are they terrified in the new trailer that this game will be as bad?

There's no proper leveling system, just HP. It's kind of a departure from the rest of the series in a big way in that regard. I played it for maybe an hour before I stopped enjoying myself, and that was because you have to farm stickers to attack as Rata mentioned. No stickers? Useless in combat. Oh, and you have limited inventory to stockpile your stickers, so you can't even just farm 99 of everything.

Our only look into the combat system involves a card-coloring system that is very reminiscent of sticker star's use of stickers.

In battle, you'll paint cards like this, and then flick them to start the battle. There are special cards too. They'll unleash some satisfyingly powerful attacks.

Got the Twilight Princess HD release for the gf to play. They really did a great job on the upscaling, looks like they did a lot of detail work on the sprites not just simply upscale the graphics. Definitely would recommend if you're a fan of the game. Reminds me of how new and fresh they made Windwaker feel.

Still waiting on mine with the amiibo from Amazon, should arrive midweek, gives me time to finish national dex in pokemon X.
