Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem Is Co-Developed By Nintendo And Atlus

Atlus’ parent company Index had a little more information about Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, which was announced yesterday during Nintendo Direct. Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem is a joint development project with Index and Nintendo working on the game. Index says Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem will be their first co-developed title.

Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem is confirmed by Index to be a RPG, you know just in case you were expecting a fighting game or a card battling title.

I didn't mind it. I sailed in my boat a lot though and didn't use the warp song a whole lot. I guess I'm part of the odd bunch.

Yeah, not gonna' lie, I'm a sucker for exploration and whatnot, so it wasn't a big deal to me.

Also, I swear it was faster to repeatedly open your sail and jump immediately after to maintain the tiny speed boost through the duration of the jump... but was it?

I don't know about jumping afterwards, but it definitely looked faster if you repeatedly open and closed your sail. You know how sometimes the water would have those square/diamond shapes in it? Using that as a judge(like, how fast can I get to the 3rd square/diamond using both methods), it seemed faster. Who knows, though.

I'm with Witz, WW happened to be my favorite in the series. I loved the idea of the open world being the ocean, though admittedly yeah, I'd love to see there be more use for most of the islands. Still, I adored WW, and WW HD is going to be a day 1 buy.

Jaw almost fell off when I saw the Xenoblade footage. I'm really looking forward to that. MHTri and Xenoblade made the Wii my favorite system last generation. Looks like the next installments of each are going to make the WiiU an early favorite for me this next generation. Excited as hell, 2013 is going to be an awesome year for gaming.

Already took the 19th and 20th off work. GF wants to purchase a WiiU Basic that day and MH3U when I go pick up mine so we can play together. (Probably both gunna buy 3DS versions too.. lol) Bringin that shit to Shutocon, Monsters going to be in a world of hurt that day man.

Long-time designer of every video game you’ve ever cared about, Shigeru Miyamoto, has confirmed to IGN that the upcoming Pikmin 3 will feature the Wii U-exclusive feature: Off-TV Play. Put simply, it’s the ability to play Pikmin 3 exclusively on the GamePad without the television – meaning you can play in your deck chair, bed or Jacuzzi (water hazards apply).

In Miyamoto’s official words:

You can play this game only with Wii U GamePad. If it is hard to imagine what it will be like, maybe you can recall the visuals of the original “Pikmin” for Nintendo GameCube and imagine how you can play it with the smaller but more detailed screen in your hands. The two control sticks of Wii U GamePad will let you play this game more comfortably and, with a TV screen, the gyro sensor inside Wii Remote Plus will further help your gameplay.

So, looking to buy a Wii U. This is mainly for MH3U but I have also been pretty interested in Zombi U. Would I be stupid not to wait a week or two for the bundle above? Do any of you have any complaints about the Pro Pad? I have heard all kinds of things about it. Other option would just be to grab the normal 32GB Premium set and just GameFly Zombi U...

Thoughts and opinions? Going to be hard to wait a couple more weeks to see if the bundle above does indeed hit the stores after waiting this long already.

Wait for the bundle. The only complaint with the pad is the battery life is atrocious. You'll pretty much need to be by a wall outlet when you play for any extended session until the 3rd party batteries come out (and they're on the way, I just can't remember who's doing them). ZombiU is a great game, probably the best survival horror game for a console that's come out in a long time. It can get a little repetitious due to how the dying works, but I loved it none-the-less.

I will just wait. I don't see how it could be anything but a good idea, though I suppose whether or not Nintendo Land is in that box could prove an interesting twist. Not too interested in it to be honest. ZombiU on the other hand I wrote off so fast, my mind made up that it was Red Steel U. That quickly changed and my brain feels like it is much more Demon's Souls U. I just want to play it. If the bundle hits when it is rumored to, that will give me a few days to wait for the thing to update just in time for the MH3U demo.

Honestly Nintendoland is super fun...but really only in the company of others. We had a ball with it, and it uses the tech wonderfully. It's a shame that it doesn't allow online matches (even though that kind of defeats the purpose of what they were trying to do with it) because there would be A TON of fun to be had with it. If you have some friends who are into games I'd highly recommend trying out at least the competitive Nintendoland games.

Also Virtual Console on the gamepad would be a system seller for me if I didn't already own one since I don't play use ROMs. It really turns the console into a great console and handheld at the same time.
