I don't know about everybody else, but the last EA game I played on a Nintendo console was Medal of Honor for the Gamecube. I really don't think this is a huge loss since 3rd party stuff has been crap on Nintendo consoles for so long. If they can survive solely on first party content... then thats basically what a perpetual motion device is. I don't see Nintendo going under at all.

They may be struggling with console stuff now, but Pokemon.

Unless they make a full-on console Pokemon game (doubt it), it's not gonna help to pull the WiiU out of its current nosedive. And granted, people don't usually play EA games on Nintendo consoles, but having one of the worlds biggest publishers not making ANYTHING for your console has to be a giant red flag. They had amazing sales with the Wii because of casuals, but that shit isn't happening twice. And you can only get so far with first party titles, especially Nintendo since they take a long ass time to release their stuff. Still, they managed to turn the 3DS around, so maybe they can do the same here. Though with the PS4/NewXbox coming out at the end of the year, shits gonna be rough.

Having some EA titles would have helped though. You really think people don't want EA Sports on the Wii U? Battlefield? Star Wars games?

Every single console that has come out since the PS2 did miserably in its first couple of years. There's always doomsayers about every console. People were saying the same shit about the DS, the PSP, the 3DS even, and now it's the king of handhelds.

Ironicallly, just before the PS2, the Dreamcast thrived right out of the gate, but died miserably a couple of years later.

I don't have a lot of time to look up stats but after 1 year in America, the original Nintendo DS sold 4.63 million units. The 3DS sold 4.51 million in the same time frame and people were calling it a failure in comparison to the DS.

People just like to slam their keyboards with hatred with no data to back them up.
