Youtube affiliate program announcedhttp://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/2...ts_Players.phpNintendo suffered a backlash from some fans last year, when it came to light that the company had begun claiming ad revenue and shutting down YouTube Let's Play videos showcasing its games.
Although the company seemed to back off at the time, it has now revealed new plans to split revenues from videos of Nintendo games with their creators.
A couple of tweets from the official Nintendo Twitter this morning state that those users who want to record videos of Nintendo games for YouTube will need to get permission from Nintendo, via an affiliate ad revenue sharing program.
Under this affiliate program, revenues will be shared between Google, Nintendo and the video creator. Nintendo notes that it has already begun tagging recent YouTube videos of Nintendo games, and Nintendo ads are appearing on these videos.
Update: A Nintendo representative gave the following comment on the news to Gamasutra:
"Nintendo has been permitting the use of Nintendo copyrighted material in videos on YouTube under appropriate circumstances. Advertisements may accompany those videos, and in keeping with previous policy that revenue is shared between YouTube and Nintendo."
"In addition, for those who wish to use the material more proactively, we are preparing an affiliate program in which a portion of the advertising profit is given to the creator. Details about this affiliate program will be announced in the future."

Natsume To Publish Alphadia Genesis For Wii U In North America
Pat yourself on the back if you guessed that Alphadia Genesis was the Wii U title Natsume were teasing for E3—they just announced it.
Alphadia Genesis is developed by Kemco, and is a 3D role-playing game that was originally released for smartphones using Unity. Kemco later revealed to Siliconera that they were bringing the game to consoles, and began porting it to Wii U.
Alphadia Genesis is already available in Japan via the Nintendo eShop. Natsume have not announced a release window for the game yet.
Wii Sports Club coming to NA July 25 (June 26 for Digital Release), EU July 11 (June 27 for Digital of Baseball & Boxing only)

Spoiler: showhttp://wiisportsclub.nintendo.com/Fore! Love! Strike! Home run! TKO! All five of these phrases are going to echo through the homes of Wii U owners everywhere when the five-sports-in-one packaged version of Wii Sports Club hits stores on July 25 at a suggested retail price of $39.99. With Wii Sports Club, the millions of people who fell in love with Wii Sports can now hop off their couches and get active with new versions of the five original classic sports – Tennis, Bowling, Golf, Baseball and Boxing – enhanced with online multiplayer and optimized for play with the Wii U GamePad controller.
Wii Sports Club feels like a new experience, with the addition of crisp high-definition graphics and Wii MotionPlus technology, as well as creative uses of the Wii U GamePad. For example, in Wii Sports Club – Baseball, the pitcher aims a fastball, change-up or curveball by moving the GamePad around in real space and pressing a button to throw. If the ball gets hit in the air, the player holds the GamePad to track and catch the fly ball – just like they would with a baseball glove! In Wii Sports Club – Golf, players place the GamePad on the floor. The ball will appear on the GamePad controller’s screen and then “fly” to the TV screen when players take their golf swing using the Wii Remote Plus controller.
Using the game’s new online multiplayer mode, players no longer have to wait for a reunion or holiday gathering to play with friends and family members who live far away. Gamers from all over the country who own the game and have a broadband Internet connection can play Wii Sports Club together. Players also can join a club to represent their regions and build online communities with fellow club members by sending tips, pep talks and other messages via Miiverse.
There are so many new features in Wii Sports Club that players will feel like they are playing the game for the first time. The added GamePad features elicit the same “You have to try this!” reactions generated after playing the original Wii Sports.
Digital versions of all five Wii Sports Club games will also be available in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U starting at 6 p.m. PT on June 26.

Nintendo doesn't have any kind of trade-in thing for wii to wiiu, right?
has any company done that?
I spose not. I've never thought of the u as a new system, just what the original should have been.
if gamestop is involved, you're being hosed.
Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse announced for WiiUhttp://www.siliconera.com/2014/06/09...nounced-wii-u/Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is headed to the Nintendo 3DS in late Summer 2014, but the platformer is also coming to the Wii U, developer WayForward have revealed to Nintendo Life.
The Wii U version of Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse will feature HD artwork and will support off-TV play on the Wii U GamePad. Additionally, both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of the game will also support touch-based inventory management and a real-time map displayed on the second screen.
Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, which is inspired by the “Metroidvania” genre, was originally supposed to launch in Q2, but WayForward creative director Matt Bozon said to Nintendo Life that the team is using its final weeks of development to “reduce backtracking” and tune the game’s difficulty.

Yoshi's Woolly World
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
Mario Maker
Splatoon
Mario Party 10
Mario Vs Donkey Kong
Art Academy
They took a Yoshi game and gave it a Kirby's Epic Yarn skin; I am not disappoint.
I've been watching all of nintendo's vids and I'm sorry... Nintendo has really sold it for E3 this year. I'm bored with assassin's creeds and Zombie game #2948. I'm excited for nearly every item they've announced, and the robot chicken skits were pretty good.
Tengami & Teslagrad
6180 The Moon & Armillo
Chromophore: The Two Brothers Director's Cut & Chariot
Cubemen 2 & Pier Solar and the Great Architects
Starwhal: Just the Tip & Nihilumbra
Teslagrad & Wooden Sen'SeY
A.N.N.E.
It is kind of funny to see what Nintendo can do when their backs are against the wall, like back in the N64 days.
They brought it, no doubt.
Was waiting for E3 to decide if I should get a Wii U or wait for another price drop. My question has been answered 10 fold, though I may wait just a touch longer for any word about a Smash bundle.
Either way, if they get no 3rd party support for the rest of the gen then it would still justify the consoles purchase. Too many good things shown today, and they still have Metroid and another Mario likely up their sleeves to play, plus whatever Retro is working on.
Some good stuff this holiday. Bayonetta 1 and 2. Smash Bros, Captain Toad and Hyrule Warriors. 2015 is looking great though.
Wow. And here I thought Pier Solar couldn't look and be any more like retarded and generic garbage. It really is amazing how it manages to look worse and worse with every new advertisement that is made for it.
