Not going to lie...I did chuckle at the almost Superman reference when Ray was flying in...
What kind of human being you have to air your dirty laundry at dinner table before the desert.
Ray: Let's order guys
Felicity: Yay! Buy me lobster baby
Barry: Lobster sounds awesome, but why do I feel like fifth wheel?
Eddy: I could eat a steak
Iris: WHY YOU LYING TO ME, LOVER?!
I mean, come on. All her motives are about her and how /she/ feels. From day one she made it all about her and all men in her life had to dance to her tune.
lol ok bro
Are people really watching this for the riveting character drama and relationship development? It's the same on Arrow (hell, even Daredevil had moments, but Arrow and Flash have more), these parts are lame and generally super cheesy or cliche but easy to forgive or just plain ignore for the other stuff.
I don't actually know what the other stuff is...just Superhero hi-jinx? Either way, I don't know why people are acting like these characters are suddenly bad, when they've always been pretty bad.
I had my jimmies rustled a bit that the cgi for Atom flying looked really great, though his landings were a tad awkward looking, and in Smallville we had to wait ten damn years for Clark to fly, and it was the most shitty cgi ever, but I blame the CW budget for that (and the creators of Smallville for their refusal to have Clark fly.)
I thought it was an intentional thing as in still getting the subtleties down on the suit (same thought I had in the promo). Same as Arrow curb stomping him or hitting Barry with his arrow earlier on in the series.
A show can't please everyone for 100% of its uptime. Learn what you like and skip the shit you don't like. You get the jist of scenes even if you plow through it with 6sec jumps forward. Especially stupid-ass scenes. Anything with Iris, Eddy, Cisco/thegirl, non-reoccurring villains (especially if they have retarded names or are the prison break brothers), plus any other "extra" character gets skipped in this show - although cisco/girl are read into the wells situation so now their air time is valuable to me.
Happens with every show. GoT has dragon girl, the psychic boy and his band of retards, and now the religious garbage. Even daredevil had the reporter + wife stuff that I skipped through
Try it out, as soon as you see Iris next time hit whatever hotkey goes forward a few secs, watch for a second, forward, watch a sec, repeat until iris is gone. Then go back and watch the entire scene and be surprised that you only needed 5 seconds for every 45 to understand what's going on
Saves you a whole lot of time, too
you lead a sad sad life
Why would there have to be two of him?
There's a number of theories about how time travel would work, but ultimately they're all 100% bullshit because it is physically (as in the science of the universe, physics) impossible so it's all science fiction so who cares?
Oh no it's "x" fictional interpretation of time travel not "y"! How dare they!
Its the speed forces doing.. just accept it.
You're right, time travel doesn't exist in the real world. That's why, when it's introduced in story-telling, it's up to the writers of the story to establish the rules for their version of time travel and address anything that might seem like a major incongruity to their audience. The way Barry went back in time makes no sense and hasn't been addressed in any way. If, when he goes back in time, he replaces himself in that time, then why didn't he turn into his child self when he tried to save his mom? If he doesn't replace himself, then what happened to the Barry we watched go through the events of the tsunami episode? It's inconsistent and it's up tot he writers to explain it.
I remember after watching Looper when I started to really think about the time travel stuff in that movie, I realized some of it didn't make a lot of sense, but it didn't ruin my enjoyment of the movie because the rest of it was so good. It was the same with Flash when the time travel episode first aired, but now that there seems to be a trend of stuff going unexplained and the story-telling has in general taken a downward turn, I'm less willing to overlook glaring shit.
don't be retards. don't fucking do it.
You never go full time-travel.
Ehhh the episode had Felicity and some funny scenes so I was pretty happy with it.
"I've never had a nemesis before."
"I kind of like it."
