again, literally all the most important people in her life have lied to her, kept secrets from her, and treated her like a child/damsel in need of protection. maybe blame them, or the writers, her reaction is realistic and understandable.
it's fucking Skyler White all over again. Guys treat female character real shitty, she reacts to it, OMG WHAT A BITCH I HOPE SHE DIES !!!1!
This isn't some saving her from heart break or finding out that Barry is gay. This is to try and keep her away from dangerous super powered meta humans. Nothing was stolen from her. ZERO harm was done.
We go back to eddy keeping the flash secret and getting distant and her getting cunty about a cop having issues.
People who she trusts most are still lying to her. I think the straw that broke the camel's back was when they brought even Eddy into it before her. I'd be pissed off too.
This same shit happens in Arrow with Thea. Like.. people hate her despite the fact that she has a laundry list of shit that's happened to her so her flipping out and being pissed is so well deserved.
I still have to disagree with you. They aren't manipulating her, or getting her to do anything negative. They are literately saving her from danger. And Barry said it best. It was Joe that told everyone to keep quiet about it. That's perfectly fine in the realm of a father to make. And I mean, come on. A cop, in a city full of weird shit, gets quiet and has that look of "I'm so fucked up, I don't know how to handle this or what to say" and she tells him to GTFO? If she was collecting info quietly or something, sure. But that's pretty fucking douchey to do.
Eg, "Eddy, I saw in the paper that you had to shoot a child. Wanna talk about it and tell me why?" "I'd really rather not...." "Get out, asshole. How dare you not open up to me". Extreme example, yes, but for all Iris knew that could have been why Eddy was distant. Plus, she never knew she was being lied to. There was no history of it so she shouldn't have been suspicious of it.
I'm just hoping that with Iris in the know now, she'll lighten up and be likeable. It would be pretty difficult to get a bunch of people on board for the bitchy wife.
What would Iris do with the knowledge? Write a blog post? Getting Eddy in on it at least had some tangible benefits on the police front.
i understand her being so mad, but she didn have to be so cunty about it, lol
I dont think she is as bad as some of you. I agree w/ Qal regarding her reaction and it being understandable. I think the bigger issue is she has been in that victim role for most of the season so its not like she is this character we all care about who suddenly found out everyone has been lying to her
The ring
Favorite part of this last episode:
Eddy: Tell me what you plan to do in a typical super villian fashion.
Wells: No. But let me tell you how worthless you are and how your life will amount to nothing.
Could not stop laughing.
yeah wells is an amazing villain. I was worried his face would make him too likable after the reveal but he's just too damn good
Looking at the whole cast, I think wells is playing it the best
tom cavanaugh is by far the biggest boss on the show, he's killing it. i'll be pretty sad if they get rid of him completely next season
Who's Tom Cavanaugh? You mean JD's brother?![]()
most menacing delivery of "hey there, little brother" you can imagine
So good. The end of that particular episode, and the entire "My Cake" episode are 2 of my many, many, many favourite Scrubs episodes
I wasn't aware anyone hated Thea. Her situation is way way way worse than Iris has it (I don't even need to go into deaths, evil family etc), but her character doesn't freak out as much. Just look at the way Thea handled finding out about Ollie compared to Iris and Barry lol...
If Thea and Iris switched their behavior around I probably wouldn't notice anything.
Imagine if Iris was in Thea's position, her reaction to Barry joining the league to save her life would probably make people on here lose their fucking minds.
Thea was kind of annoying early on, but she definitely got much more interesting. I guess it is possible that Iris gets more interesting as well..... but I'm doubting it.
So:
1. Iris, this is why we don't tell you things, stfu /bitchslap
2. Did I miss something? How the hell did they escape the Grodd attack and leave Joe? Joe got snatched, Barry got knocked out, Cisco's helmet fell off, then it went to commercial. It came back from commercial with everyone at the lab and Joe being held hostage.
3. Why the hell did Grodd jump infront of a moving train to attack the Flash? Then at end of episode he climbs to the top of a building just to jump at the camera. That ape has gone bananas.
4. I dont think Iris will be that much of a cringe character once Eddie dumps her ass.
So Grodd is a pyschic gorilla who new Barry was coming from miles away and caught his supersonic punch (I wish someone would do the math on that) and thinks Wells is his father.
What could possibly go wrong?!?!?!?
