So Grodd is a pyschic gorilla who new Barry was coming from miles away and caught his supersonic punch (I wish someone would do the math on that) and thinks Wells is his father.

What could possibly go wrong?!?!?!?

supersonic is 343 m/s and barry's like 70 kg. We can say barry had the momentum of a 2ton car going ~30 mph and grodd stopped that shit with one hand. That's not THAT far fetched for me for an enhanced gorilla (thing's fucking huge) in a superhero show. Even if grodd got hit he shouldn't be exploding, that's for comix flash that would go 9 quintillion times the speed of light, slow down to just under the speed of light before hitting grodd, and hit dat nigga with ~infinity mass going six hundred million miles per hour

What doesn't make sense regarding the super sonic punch is that when he originally did it vs the absorbing man or w/e, he positioned himself to more-or-less be in a straight line since having to make turns should realistically slow him down. But i remember on the graph it was a straight line (or very close to it).

So how can he do a super sonic punch against Grodd in the sewers when he is obviously making tons of turns in tight spaces?

his power isn't being able to move fast, it's more like being able to control everything there is about moving fast. I know it's canon that comic flash can control the KE of objects.. it isn't a far leap that he breaks the rules regarding you need an impulse(force over some time) to change direction of your momentum

heh, that's actually a pretty cool limit on his powers that I never thought about since it's obvious he can because he DOES turn on a dime in every adaptation. Means he can arbitrarily control momentum too.. so broken

It's hilarious when writers try to offer some level of scientific explanation for the shit they have Flash pulling off. Most heroes they won't even bother, but for some reason for Flash they feel it necessary to try to actually explain things, and when it's just straight up impossible it just falls under the Speed Force category

quicksilver is typically rated at a bit faster than sound, not including that hax upgrade he got. simple shit like dodging bullets, running on water. this nigga is not vibrating so fast he can phase through shit. in other words, pietro aint got SHIT on any of the DC speedsters

personally I like flash because of the "scientific explanation" part of it

he's a cool superhero to think about. Everyone else just *is*

plus he's the baddest mother fucker out there. I really hope they don't disappoint with his adaptation in the DC series of movies
