again, literally all the most important people in her life have lied to her, kept secrets from her, and treated her like a child/damsel in need of protection. maybe blame them, or the writers, her reaction is realistic and understandable.

Information doesn't want to be free, and you aren't entitled to it.

And yeah, compared to the metahumans out there? She IS a child in need of protection, because holy crap, if anyone ever found out that the Flash cared about that chick? Yeah, her safety is just *poof* gone. Her reaction is childish, it is pathetic, it is spoiled, it is the insipid whinings of a self-entitled brat who is utterly incapable of love because every lens of her being comes back to the singular object of her understanding: herself.

The only problem I have with Laurel is that she's already been 1000% upstaged by her sister as a Black Canary character. She's always going to be a lacking copycat in someone else's garb.

Hell, just look at what happened between Cisco, his brother, and Cap Cold there. Least with Cisco and Cait, they have intelligence to help Barry and get themselves out of jams. What's Iris going to do? Bitch at Grodd, or give Cap Cold the...Cold Shoulder?

She has ZERO reason to be involved with anything Flash related. Maybe if Iris could keep a secret and stay at home, sure, she could know. However, Iris would want to fucking interview any bad guy or bitch at Joe and Barry during a battle. She offers nothing to the table.

At least by bringing her into the loop they can make sure she's aware if there's any particular danger in a given episode/be more cautious in general

Gave the team info to go into the sewers which got her father captured and turned out to be a waste of time because Grodd was a distraction.

Well, everyone has their opinions on it. I'll agree that she deserved to know but they didn't deserve that attitude.

This isn't some little white lie or something kept secret. This is Iris, a character who can't take knowledge and just sit on it. If told sooner, she would have def done something to get in the way or cause harm to Barry.


Also, wouldn't a macross post just be "lol Barry likes Iris? That's new information to me"
