MJ from Spider-Man has been lied to for far longer than Iris and yet her reaction when she found had more grace than "I know you were trying to protect me, but I should have been told anyway!!"
Iris the character was written poorly and the actress playing her clearly overacting has made it worse.

I'm not raging as much as others seem to be about Iris, but I will say she's a pretty shit character right now. All the writers use her for is to insert drama into Eddie/Barry/Joe's lives. When she's not doing that she does nothing. She's got no life of her own.

I suspect her investigative work may play into her helping track down metahumans and other leads, especially with Wells out of the picture. Just speculation obviously.

A lil' late but I'll jump on the Iris hate train too.
Literally had me raging at pretty much each and every one of her appearances last episode.
Crying and whining will get a character up to a point but that's all she ever does...
Still loving this show though. I wish there was less drama but I suppose you can't do without nowadays!
