I think I need to be done with this show and Arrow after this season...So much of a good buildup (at least with this show) then they progress things like that?!?!
Spoiler: show
Chat shit get zoomed.
As far as the man in the iron mask goes, I think this fool done out ran any good that was left in him and split himself into two parts. Good and Evil, he did say after all that we wouldn't believe him and that is pretty unbelievable. I mean all along we did all assume it was a version of Jay in the iron mask.
What purpose would Zoom have for Caitlyn if it was his past self that was interacting with her in the first place, so he shouldn't have any feelings for her? Also, wouldn't him killing his past self.... erase himself.... like Eddie did to Thawne?
so when he was running at the start of the episode and briefly popped out, that was it as far as referencing Supergirl right?
Pretty much lol
Man I liked the episode until about the last 5 minutes. Then it turned to a shit show. So Zoom willingly gives Wally back, Barry is faster than him and can beat him, and you willingly give your speed to make him more of a monster. I'm guessing Wells did something off camera or whatever to have an "A-ha!" moment later, but it was just sloppy. So for 4 more episodes his reign of terror is only worse because you were a bunch of idiots.
The ending is what rubs me the wrong way.
I'm thinking, at least based on Zoom's reactions to the family stuff and Caitlin is that a little bit of old "good" Jay leaked into his personality and maybe he's wanting to sever that tie by dealing with Caitlin? Best I can guess with this. That and he always has to take a captive, or it wouldn't be Zoom...which is so stupid.
The Iron Mask stuff is getting played out. I could see that being a Good Jay in the mask thing, but I dunno at this point. They really need to hit a home run next week though because this week ended on an extremely sour note for me.
And yeah, how the fuck can he convince his past self to allow himself to be killed. No matter what that past self gets fucked so he wouldn't agree to it.
But if he was able to do that, he would've done that from the beginning lol. It's just a shitty plothole they never addressed.
Man in the mask is Jay Zolomon's dad. Would explain the WW2 code no?
As much as it bothers me, I'm just starting to accept the Plot holes in Flash. I love the show but at this point and time, I'd have to stop watching it if I let them all get to me
I suppose, but I don't get the 'you wouldn't believe me' bit as that doesn't seem all that shocking
@Tyrath: I meant now that he has Flash's seed, not 'not' there. D: so that probably reads bad. now that he has it (after Barry willingly gave it to him) I'm guessing he was able to dimension hop then, but not before.
Oh, well that doesn't answer the question of how he went back to Earth 2 with Wally before getting Flash's speed.
Also, was I the only one disappointed about how little mention they made of the Supergirl thing? "Guys I just got back from another earth. Now we need to find a way to Earth 2. Drawing a blank here."
Also found some reddit guy's explanation of the Zoom/Jay shit. This makes more sense as to why Zoom would still remember Caitlyn and stuff. It was him all along mixing it up with the team.
1.) Hunter gets his powers.
2.) Hunter becomes Zoom (to terrorize E-2) and forms an alter ego, Jay/Flash (to "give hope just to take it away").
3.) Hunter is having fun playing hero/villain when the breaches open.
4.) Hunter befriends Team Flash as "Jay" and becomes an inside man, forms relationship with Caitlin, etc.
5.) Realizing he needs to leave soon without blowing his cover, Hunter travels to a fractured timeline that no longer has a future and recruits a past version of himself to die as a "Jay" patsy
6.) Right before the breach-closing episode, Hunter drops off his alternate timeline past self in E-1 to set up the "death" scene.
That makes a lot more sense when you put it in point form.
Yeah that really does... And I'm wondering if it really is a "good" version of jay behind the mask.. I mean right after saying "you wouldn't believe me" line his eyes go black and be swipes the lock off him.. Wonder if he's possessed by the speed demon that they used in the smallville comic that was a literal demon from the speed force that hunts speedsters
