I know the Flash vibrates and is fast and etc, but fuck Grant Gustin shaking his head so much the last couple episodes of the season. Minor gripe obviously but anytime he had to do a "deep and emotional" scene, his head just wouldn't stop shaking. It was on par with Emma Watson's notorious "over-usage of her eyebrows" in HP levels of annoying.

In all honesty, name.. five shows that actually get better once the will they/won't they thing is wrapped up with a lot of series still to go. There aren't many that actually stayed good for more than like.. one season. None I can think of off the top of my head anyway. Yeah, it's a cheap way to keep you invested without resolving the relationship, but I actually think it works out for the best without risking the show becoming mundane.

Probably not a good example of a series getting better, but The Mummy movies with Brandon Frasier, took a 180 from "Hero doesn't get the treasure" trope commonly prevalent in movies like Indiana Jones and made it work. Personally I think, a movie doesn't need to shortchange main hero to be a compelling and fun story. Same principal applies to shows.

imo the only movie with Brandon Frasier that "made it work" was Blast from the Past because he was supposed to be a clueless idiot.

And the more I think about this timeline reset, the more I think it was dumb for them to tease us with Wally and Jesse potentially getting powers. We see them get hit...full expectations on about them getting powers...then blam, plot defused. I think I haven't been that disappointed about a plot not getting used since Peter Petrelli got Sylar's "hunger to kill" then lost it and all his powers in the next episode. They could've run a whole season with that.

but yeah, makes me wonder if going with Flashpoint where they did was a last-minute decision, or if several decisions were.

I want a single episode showing the Flash going all Robin Hood and robbing an arms dealer, returning the weapons and keeping the cash to pay for all this Big Belly Burger and the cost of having scientists work for you.
