Hell yeah! One of my favorite scenes in that game.

Then after you fight her, she's all "Nice try! BOOM! Icicles to the chest!"

I should play through 8 again sometime since unlike 7 I actually have the game discs.

I'd actually have to agree there. Also is it wrong that I subconsciously gave Barret the steal materia when I first got it? I didn't really give that much thought till the other day.
