Zell is the dumb friend you have that's only dumb because he doesn't know better so you let that shit slide because that nigga always comes through when you need a nigga to come through. Laguna is fine where he was. He shoulda been playable at the end though but being "We president now!" I guess I can understand.

I should play mystic quest again, but it was definitely a subpar ff experience if i remember correctly

final fantasy 2 ( japans IV ) was my first full playthrough of an rpg. I'd played dragon warrior and ff1 on NES but was still a bit young to "get it", I was really big into mega man and castelvania games when I was playing NES. I have a huge fondness for all of the Squaresoft SNES games because I played them to death and then over again. F

unny enough I didn't really like many of the Enix rpgs I played but had a friend that was a huge fan of them.

But really, numbered titles I think FFVIII is the best. VII was great, but Squall is a fucking badass, not an emo fag, and I actually like how they intertwined the love story with Ultimecia and stuff. It's super cheesy, but the (at least interpretations I've read that make sense) that Rinoa is Ultimecia is pretty badass.
