But really, numbered titles I think FFVIII is the best. VII was great, but Squall is a fucking badass, not an emo fag, and I actually like how they intertwined the love story with Ultimecia and stuff. It's super cheesy, but the (at least interpretations I've read that make sense) that Rinoa is Ultimecia is pretty badass.

was not a big fan of the magic mechanics and a few other things in FF8. Gameplay wasn't that great comparatively imo.

You mean the game with a lolrandom level up system and where they actually had monsters use death/stop/stun attacks when you control a single character for the entire game? Not sure if serious.

Also nothing wrong with the price drop for FFXIII-2, it's standard practice with most console games.

The system is a pretty integral part of the "gameplay" in most RPGs actually. I can see the point you're trying to make (and I agree with you) but some of that shit does factor in to the gameplay.

I hadn't picked up FFX13-2 due to time constraints between everything in real life and Skyrim and then Diablo taking up any free time I had. Looks like I may need to pick this one up now.
