With that being said, Final Fantasy VII is still good, not greatest of all time. I'm partial to Final Fantasy VIII because it was my first Final Fantasy game and I believe it is very close behind Final Fantasy X in terms of art direction and sound. The gameplay is a bore and you can breeze through almost anything with GF's and Aura spells but it's still a fun ride with a crapton of memorable moments. Final Fantasy IX is good for what it's worth, I guess. Never hated it but never thought of it as anything amazing in the series canon. Final Fantasy X still has the best art direction and sound in the entire series with breathtaking locales and scenery (even if they don't make sense half the time.) Not to mention the battle system is still my favorite.

Fuck Squall though, Irvine was the man. Fucking busting out that AP Ammo during his Limit Break decimates anything in his way.

7 is the first i played but even taking off the nostalgia goggles the game was fun materia worked (upgrade to max and out pops a free one :D) kick ass side games (sorry but chocobo racing is the end all of gambling and fun times to be had) 8 was great til the 3rd disk when all hell broke lose and...no (magic system was wrong all over) 9 was the first ff i completed as sad as the ending made me, no it wasn't that great but vivi was a mofo all the way through, 10 was when all the girls started getting into FF which as far as i can tell was for the polygon count and not the game play....-2 on the other hand worked great but sadly polygons in the berserker outfit helps, 11 the true never ending story, 12 GO FUCKING DIE IN A HOLE YOU ABORTION OF A GAME, 13 great looking but such a oddly pieced together game til the very end, 13-2 was better but yeah the ending was...
