RMAH finally going live 6/12

I have a digital copy from wow annual pass, have authenticator and sms already set up from months ago.

Just tried to deposit $10 to see if I have to wait 3 days, there is a message saying it could take 1-3 days right before you press submit. Money isn't in the account yet.

edit: just got the email "The balance you are adding may not be ready to use immediately, because most payment methods are subject to a mandatory review period of up to 3 days. Please refer to the Account Balance FAQ for more information." so yeah we'll see when it shows up.

I haven't gotten any texts or anything, just f5ing battle.net once in a while to see if its there.

Solved the problem by linking an authenticater to it. Im guessing its required to use the RMAH. Threw up some random gloves with decent stats for 7bid/15buy and it just sold lol. 14$ towards my next SCII game.

Useful Tip: When stuff sells on RMAH you get an email confirming everything, you can disable this by going to your battle.net account and turn off the notification for it if you dont want too much spam from RMAH.

yeah why would anybody put a great item on the gold ah now, don't really see the incentive aside from needing gold...but who would really care if they could make 200+ dollars from an item

Legendaries aren't worthless. Just the weapons. If anything they just need a wider selection of weapon affixes with decent proc rates on things.

Weapons definitely need more cool mods. LoD had about a million of them, why take them all out and go back to classic D2? Silliness.

I want a lot more skill-specific buffs (and more variants for each skill unlike Arcane Orb only getting Crit%+) even though that generally means it will be a lot harder to get what you're looking for without turning to the AH.

skill-specific buffs need a tuning up, to be sure..

you could totally rock different specific builds if skill specific gear made a diff that way..

like the arcane orb one for example. i'm already using it for a crit build.. if they had something like arcane orb crit+10~20%, that would make it so much more interesting/fun

I'm kinda torn on buffing mod variety for skills. In D2, it was basically "pile +skills or suck" and while I won't argue D3's is watered down, hyper-specializing might not work. Instead, maybe something like "Sorcerer: Signature Spell Crit Rate +5%" or "Demon Hunter: Hatred Generators Attack Speed +10%" and so on. Otherwise, Blizz would still need to come down hard on the underpowered/mechanically challenged skills so shit like "Energy Twister Arcane Cost -5" isn't akin to Health Globe+ sucking up a mod slot on gear that could've been better.

When you guys set up paypal from the battle.net account management page...were you taken to a PayPal site in Chinese? Battle.net > Settings > Add a Payment Method > Paypal always brings me to the same Chinese page. Haven't set up PayPal for it because it just seems weird.

Well, I've made the money back from my D3 purchase without clearing out any of my main gear. People will buy just about anything for $5-10 it seems.

The only downside is now I'm sitting on 12mil gold that is fairly useless, people have purchased anything remotely decent up to 20mil and put it on RMAH.

No, I was taken to an english paypal page to login and confirm. I would be cautious of anything in another language if you're not in that region/don't have your PC set for that..

Yea anything with slighly decent 120+stats with 60+resist and a few other stuff will sell for 10-20$ easy. Anything with Dex will sell very well.
