Why are people saying RIP dubstep, this is no where near real dubstep, its popstep. There is no major drop, just when there is something that sounds like dubstep in a song people just start freaking out, just calm down its not real dubstep, and half the people that listen to Justin don't even know what dubstep is. So just calm down. If anything its more D&B....

It's not D&B and it's very close to what the trance dj's like Tiesto and Armin are playing out these days as well as some of the bigger dubstep DJs. Dubstep is a long way from the pirate radio and warehouse days of 2000/2001 where it started. This isn't the death of it, it "died" a long, long time ago. This will get plays from dance club DJs at main time and will be remixed to hell.

It's always been the formula and it's not surprising. Underground, forbidden, obscure music picks up following of well off suburban kids. Music industry gets wind of it after high profile _______________ ( dj gig, video, interview, festival performance ) and pays their producers to mimic the sound but soften it up for radio play. Music becomes more socially acceptable and easily digested ( purchased ), people get rich and famous, zero fucks given. New generation comes along and creates new underground, forbidden, obscure music. Rinse & repeat.

I don't know what's wrong with people. You CAN'T label this as Dubstep. LISTEN to it. It has nothing to do with dubstep. And btw ''dubstep'' died when people started making pop tunes out of it.

dont get too deep into what genre a song is, you end up making silly statements like adaman hauberk is blue (when its clearly purple). like colors music, exists on a spectrum, and knowing when something is red is helpful. but when you get into whether something is reddish-orange or orangish-red .. well who cares at that point

You know what dubstep is? A simple ass bass and snare beat with a bassline that's over-manipulated. Every song sounds the fucking same because everyone uses the same setup, and not to say it's getting old, but look where it went. This is what happens when people flock like sheep to whatevers popular.
