my autobiography should be pleasing to you guys as it describes my ascension to supafly mack-daddyness being triggered by an incident when I was a sophomore on high school where this fat girl got me all kinds of fucked up and took advantage of me when I was in pass-out status and I realized my newfound superpowers when she lied and tried to say she was pregnant and I rose up like the Phoenix and was like nuh-uh, you're just tubby, I can tell because you wear Tommy Girl and that shit smells like straight-up fat girl, get the fuck outta here
It was demo's status, but ok!
Making a big controversy over no information IS fucking stupid.
Taking minimal information and buzzwording it into making it controversial IS going to deter future developers to even bother taking the chance.
Common fucking sense. If you're gonna be crucified for trying, why even bother?
Something has to really be happening in order for it to be torn apart and criticized. I hope they do a good job too. But I'm going to wait until I have enough information to make a thoughtful, informed decision about it. You know, one you can make when you actually have information. This academic discussion stuff is fine and dandy but that is NOT what was happening. What was happening was trashing a game we don't even know a damn thing about because it DARED to try to address a topic some people found too risque.
Ironic choice of words here. Frankly, again, he does this shit a lot. We debate and move on. I've said I thought shit was fucking stupid to his face before. Making judgments based on 0 information is pretty fucking stupid, and I'd say that to anyone -- ESPECIALLY people I love. You're free to think that I'm burning whatever bridge you want.
Trivializing a topic by making sweeping judgments over something you have no information to assess, while simultaneously pretending, proclaiming or ACTUALLY BELIEVING that it is your DEEP LEVEL OF CARE that arms you/gives you the right to do so is stupid. Period.
edit: since not everyone is pretending, some people really believe that crap.
stick that context into your ladyrape paradigm and smoke it
we're not against rape
we're but against rapers
but we are against those thugs thugs thugs
I don't think you have to be offended by something to worry about the ability for it to have a damaging effect on society. I've seen worse than the trailer and, who knows, probably enjoyed it. But I feel that the alternative to pointing it out; not saying something, not articulating what you find troubling about it, is far more damaging than identifying, "here are things we don't like".
Whether the game itself is offensive or not, the trailer had content that I believe is, ultimately, detrimental to the game itself and to the portrayal of an iconic character. People who are going to jump to conclusions on either side of the issue, and be incendiary about it, have probably set a precedent for doing this before, and will continue to do so - whether or not it, as you said, aligns with their worldview.
What makes it pornographic is that she sounds like she's being humped while falling down a flight of stairs. Someone might say, "it is because her voice is higher!", and another person might say, "it is because of the vocalizations she makes!", but regardless of the rationale, it. sounds. pornographic.
it's going to be like FFXIII all over again where I had to mute the volume whenever Vanille was in the party so as to not have my mom think I was watching the scrambly channel that isn't part of our cable package
Also where's the outrage over this? Especially in the wake of Penn State/Sandusky.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1232200/
In 1984 Donny Berger (Sandler) was the kid who wowed America by living his dream. In other words he had sex with his teacher Ms. McGarricle (Eva Amurri), to such an apparent extent that she becomes pregnant with his child. Acknowledging the law, Donny has to raise the child as a child.
Word. And that's the premise of a COMEDY. So underage boy rape = still funny? And this movie and its synopsis are actually out and on record.
all of my outrage was over the fact that sandler gets to keep making movies
