It came out Wednesday and everyone tried it Wed/Thur/Fri, I don't doubt for a minute we will see wins in the next 1-4 days.
My LS went in with a terrible strategy and horrible execution and it went to 24%. If we had actually done PD prior to everyone dying to 10k needles and eating 2 non-Shell'd Kaustra's, we would have won. I am talking people not being cured, no one damaging Odin while all adds were killed, no buffs on people killing adds, just as bad as it could go it did and it was at 24% when we timed out. This is being made out to be much more difficult than I feel it really is, and with a proper strategy I don't see it not being cleared with relative ease. It doesn't have any fuck you moves, it seems like a well designed fight just like Odin at 75.
Did you see any dispel moves after 50%?
I want to say yes but I don't know, I died twice under 50% because I wasn't being cured. We never tried to reapply buffs, I just used hasso and such and was dead before they wore. We saw 10k and Kaustra, Breakga, Slowga almost constantly at some point under 50% though.
Edit: Oh, either he has some form of straight MDT or has 350MDB. (Or combination) Fire shot did 190 at 63MAB.
Edit2: Doesn't have super high defense, but you are doing it without any buffs so that makes a difference. If you did have Rangers, even if they weren't Anni/Yoichi (rotate deaths as a hate reset) to fight it with a PLD tank and a party to kill adds you could maintain constant damage with buffed DDs. Anni/Yoichi folks obviously stay buffed forever because they won't die.
This Kai killed me with 100% HP with capped mdt and 47% pdt.
Did 1914 with my 1868HP.
Omg sooooo sorry for misinformation.... I was so sure it was Kai that I wasnt even considering other option. I wanted to post ss of it now and .... I found out it was Savage blade from add for 1914 with 47% PDT
Just lol...

I'm not sure if the PLD who got hit at the same time as me had EA or Scherzo up. I think Byrth said Migiwari had no effect? EA and Scherzo probably wouldn't either if that's the case but who knows. Someone in my LS is saying Kai was every 10% did anyone else notice that?
He definitely did it at some 10% intervals (did it at 90% and 70% for us, I think), but I don't think he did it at every one.
Killed Arch-Omega. Test server account was accurate. Double Attack rate 100%, doubles up on all TP moves (not necessarily the same move twice, but always two in a row). Easy though, nothing special about him except that he's immune to stun and doubles everything up. Stands up at 75% and never goes back down (four legs still highly resistant to phys damage, two legs resistant to magic). Got Arch-Omega tail and foreleg, 5 coins from final crate. For whatever reason it didn't even spawn a single pod so we don't know if they drop anything or not. Didn't hold it to see, but it was up on two legs for at least 3 minutes so idk why it never spawned one.
Trading old Homam with new Arch-Omega item gives Enif. Trading new item alone gives nothing. We still don't know how to get Murzim, but the guy who wanted it is hanging onto the Arch-Omega piece for now..... Trading the Arch-Omega piece alone gave the dialog that says something about "word has it that there are other curious materials....deliver to me some samples along with this fragment and i shall reward you with rare pieces of equipment...." wtf se, wtf. Make this shit clearer.
We thought about that... but Murzim isn't even an upgrade from Enif in any way whatsoever... that would be so completely retarded. This is SE, but still...
Options I see:
1) You need to trade a whole set and will be given the option of selecting one. (I don't think so from the dialogue)
2) Trade an Omega set worth of chips with it.
3) Trade the corresponding Nashira piece with it.
4) Trade it with a metal chip, or just trade it with the new KI.
5) Trade with an AF+1 set from a job that can equip it?
We thought that... but what happens if you're wrong? He'll take the NQ part, give you Homam, and give the Arch part pack. Ultimate slap in the face.
6-man would likely work, just need to watch positioning. If you can take a few more bodies, it will be considerably easier with 7-9. More is overkill, but if you go with six and you lose one of your assumed two DDs at any point, he's gonna go after mages when he does Colossal Blow.
Are we talking hardcore DDs? I'm throwing around PUP and BST ideas if the limiting factor for a 6man is Colossal Slam.
Edit: If you give him a piece you have (Homam hands within inventory when you give him Omega forelegs, for example) to avoid receiving NQ piece.
Colossal blow is mitigated by PDT, easy to swap to before it goes off so as long as you have 2 DD's I don't see an issue outside of back to back CB's.
