Tried a few other things to get Murzim out of the Arch-Omega component... various pieces of AF+1, ancient beastcoins, etc. Couldn't get anything he had to work. Whatever it is, it's not something new (unless SE screwed up), because nothing else new is in the dats. We're thinking it's just the old Omega part+new Omega part at the same time now (e.g. Omega's Foreleg + Arch-Omega's Foreleg), but we won't know until we build an old Omega pop to actually test this out, and at this point that three day timer is driving me/us insane because we won't be able to check now for another three days. And, of course, we won't get the part we need from old Omega when we do actually kill him since that would be far too easy so it might even be longer than that. Also, if we wind up being wrong, then he'll just end up with Homam Manopolas and Arch-Omega's Foreleg since I'm sure Wilhelm will go ahead and take the liberty to assume that he wanted Homam even though he traded an extra item.
Edit: Tried a post on the community forums for lulz. Not expecting anything to come of it, but hey... you never know.
Was another idea someone in LS came up with, but something we also couldn't try at the time. Sounded farfetched to me, but obviously anything might work. I mean... Wilhelm's dialogue literally didn't narrow it down at all aside from implying that whatever else was needed also came from Limbus.
Figured Murzim out, you need 2 pieces of AF+1 materials from Apollyon, from 2 different jobs (possibly jobs on that piece of gear) pictures below
Gloves

Inventory before trade

During trade, took PUP's Corduroy Cloth, and DNC's Gold Stud

Tried the rest of the mats with the Omega Eye and he gives same message as if you traded just the eye, considering all of those mats are from Temenos, although only one item is a job on the Murzim gear. Guess I was lucky for keeping that junk.
Did you test the Critical Hit damage bonus on those hands yet?
Awesome, thanks for posting this. Wasn't looking forward to experimenting with Omega drops. Guy from my LS only tried trading one, I think, or if he tried trading more it might not have been the correct jobs, etc. You had those lined up in the first two trade slots, so it's hard to tell whether they need to be on the piece or not. Since the armor is already split by Apollyon and Temenos, I'm guessing it'll just take any two Apollyon materials for Murzim. Hopefully the guy in my LS will see this and test with random materials that aren't jobs on the armor, assuming he already has a couple Apollyon materials.
Seems like it needs to be jobs related to the item, in that case PUP and DNC.
Edit: Anyone know why they're doing maintenance on Halzahm?
Odin v2 entry conditions are messed up (didn't need Odin v1 title) and Odin v1 wasn't giving its title.
I wonder if that means that 1) They've reinstated the Odin Title requirment for Odin v2 and 2) that I have to redo Odinv1 again since I did him for the first time last Thursday and did not get the title.
Okay, so someone dish on the Patentia Sash. They're all over the place now. Keep where you got it from to yourself all you want, but how much is the Dual Wield?
Just did some very light testing in Abyssea, probably shouldn't read too much into my results
Atmas: Mounted Champion, Apoc, and Razed Ruins (wanted to crit faster)
Gear: spoilered for gimp, only difference were hands.
Spoiler: show
Looked at first 100 crits:
average damage with cirque gloves was 277.32
average damage with murzim gloves was 279.25
which is about 1% increase? Although I'm not sure how the extra damage from RR would affect it.
1% sounds right... Razed Ruins is 30% bonus I think, so if you go from 1.30 to 1.31 you'd expect 0.77% damage increase, and you got about 0.7% damage increase on your average there from 277.32 to 279.25.
Edit: But 100 results really isn't nearly enough to get around the high variability of melee damage, and Byrth's test below for ranged damage will be far more accurate.
If you have a throwing weapon that PUP can equip, grab it and sub something with throwing skill. Then go to a starting zone and throw it at the weakest monster you can find while wearing just the weapon and Murzim hands. Tell us what you threw it at and how much it hit for.
It is hard to really get much out of your test, other than that they probably aren't very potent.
DNC99/NIN49
98 Throwing - War Hoop
Huge Hornet
123 Damage
D21+20 = 41
41*3 = 123
Sorry, I should have specified that you need to crit.
172 Crit Hit still on Huge Hornet
41*3.75 = 153.75
172/153.75 = 1.118... (+11% + 1% from hands)
172/153 = 1.1258... (+11% + 2% from hands)
I have noted here that I think the damage is floored before critical attack bonus is applied. In that case, the hands would be +2% Critical Hit Damage.
